BLACK+DECKER MarkIT Picture Hanging Kit (BDMKIT101C)

This picture hanging tool works well and definitely makes it easier to measure and position pictures correctly. It’s simple to use and does what it’s supposed to do. I gave it four stars because the tool feels a little flimsy and could be made from sturdier material. Other than that, it’s a useful tool and makes hanging pictures much easier.

I used this to hang several pictures, wall art, and some canvas painting. It is simplistic but works surprisingly well. You hang your picture or artwork on the hook/tab on this thing, hold it up against the wall where you want it, and press lightly. It makes a tiny dimple in the Sheetrock right where your nail/screw needs to go. The built-in level is a nice feature as well as the expanding wings if you are hanging pictures next to each other. My only gripe is that the hanger tab could have come out a tiny bit further. It was off the slightest bit for 2 pictures I was hanging side-by-side (too shallow to catch that particular type of hook). It would have saved me a LOT of work had it worked with those two. But it worked on all the others and was well worth the money. I definitely recommend it.

This isn't as foolproof as they market it. It is easy enough to use this to hang a single picture. The problem is when you are trying to hang a second picture at the same height as the first. You can hang the second picture on the hook and press a dimple into the wall, but the second just doesn't seem to line up with the first unless you measure the height of the bottom of your hanging hook from your nail hole. That makes sense, obviously, but what winds up happening is that this tool makes a hole in your wall, and then you have to make a second hole in your wall, an inch higher, for the nail, so that the bottom part of the bracket is where the first hole is. So you're still measuring no matter what. Also, the rubber used to keep the tool from sliding is greasy, and leaves black streaks on the wall. These marks will be above the top of your picture, so you have to hope they come out of whatever finish you have because they *will* be visible.

Marks are on point and easy to read. Use is optimal for one person. No need for a second set of “leveling eyes”

Helps a lot, but pushing the pins in kind of sucks..I feel like they should push in easier then they do. But its making hanging straight pictures 10x easier...so whatever

FYI: this tool does not work with LEGO art pictures using LEGO's 'hook' block (a.k.a., element ID: 6302094, 'PANEL 3X5, W/ 4.85 HOLE'). In the case of set #31208 'Hokusai – The Great Wave' the LEGO hook blocks are too recessed into the frame for the tool's short hooks to reach. In the case of set #21333 'Vincent van Gogh - The Starry Night', the width of the tool hook's base/support wouldn't let the tool engage with the LEGO hook. Other than this issue with LEGO art, the tool appears to be a good value and I will keep mine for hanging any future more 'normal' pictures.

This made hanging the pictures in my new house so much easier. You are able to hang all different backings with it, and with ease.

Eine sehr gut Hilfe beim Bilder aufhängen. Leider ist der abstellbarea Abstand nur für große Bilder gut geeignet, könnte kleiner sein.
