First one got a short in it after light use, replacement cable is going strong after a little over a month of consistent use. I’m too scared to bend or coil it up though so it stays straight. Not sure if the first one I got was just faulty. I’ll update if this one gets a short too. Works well with the Shure mv7.

Update ...Seller contacted me and sent me another cable. Works fine, does what it suppose to do. Good build qualitybtw.Literally doesn’t work on anything. iPhone, iPad, MacBook, Dell laptop. Doesn’t charge or transmit data.

I wanted an affordable yet audiophile grade cable - to connect my older iPhone (6S+) to a Qudelix 5K DAC/amp for music listening.I tried another “advertised solution” that did not work. The connections fit - and all seemed correct - but there was no audio presented to the 5K. After verifying all the settings in the hardware involved, I decided to try procurement of a different cable.Scanning the many offerings here - I focused on any cable reviews having the words “DAC” or “Qudelix”. To my surprise, I found this cable specifically mentioned my search terms.Being 4’ long, and having a “competent”reviewer describing what appeared to be an identical use scenario similar to what I had in mind - I ordered 1 to try it out.I was interested in reverting back to a “wired” solution, in hopes of gaining some amount of improved sound fidelity over the typical B/T transmission.As I stated, the cable length is ideal. I have a small patch of Velcro adhering my Qudelix 5K to the outside of my left headphone cup, so that the lightning/USB-C cable can reach it nicely - routed from the iPhone tucked away in my front pants pocket.Then a short 3.5mm jumper connects the 5K output directly into my headphone input jack. Yes - all components mentioned could be used via B/T (BlueTooth) instead, (eliminating most of the cable connections) But to assure that the music is transmitted with the best quality possible and least amount of noise, artifacts, or distortion - there’s nothing like a well made cable.So convenience is still an option, if I want to go back to some version of “wireless” - but when I want to enjoy every Hz of sound with its originally intended purity - I get wired. This is a good cable.It is well made, and seems like it should last.The length is perfect for the application and the pricing is competitive.So I recommend it. It is the best bang for buck I have found to date.

**I will update my review to 4 stars pending further updates from a replacement coming from the seller. After posting this review they reached out and mentioned that my cable was faulty.**This cable (thin, flimsy) works to connect my mv88+ to my iPad, but unlike the OEM cable (that I lost 😭) it will not allow me to change any mic settings other than gain (polar pattern, etc). It does not recognize my mv88+ as anything other than "external mic".If you never want to change any settings, this might work for you, and I'd probably keep it as a back up if it were cheaper, but it's not worth the current price (basically the same as the shure one) as it doesn't 100% work and is so flimsy.

For starters, it doesn't fit in my charge port properly, it has a very loose fit and constantly comes unplugged. That lack of quality control is unacceptable considering the price of this thing. The lightning side of it also gets quite warm which I wouldn't have a problem with except that it is likely caused by part of it sending power through something without much cross-sectional area. Which is bad enough on its own even if they didn't advertise this as 99.9% O2-free copper something they are completely undoing by effectively bottlenecking it with the connector. But at the end of the day I don't even care about that because I don't believe that using ofc while still in the digital realm has any impact. While you could argue that it might make a difference for power delivery, but the noise in the power you are getting from your phone is likely to have a much larger impact on your sound quality than the difference from a half-decent to the best cable in the world ever will. And this isn't even a half-decent cable in my opinion since they clearly have little to no QC and what I have to imagine is a hair-sized wire in part of it, so just save your money.

No multiple USB adapters, No $29 Apple Camera Adapter, just connect your iPhone lightning direct to your DAC with that uses USB C connection (which includes most of the new high performing DACs). Most lightning to USB C cables are POWER ONLY and will NOT work for a DAC without an additional Apple Camera Adapter. To use this cable, and avoid the Camera Adapter, you must have iOS 15.x or newer. I'm using iPhone SE (2nd Generation ~iPhone 13) with EarMen Sparrow DAC. This cable supports the full file Hi-Definition specification of at least 24 bit/192 kHz (the highest Res. I use). The iPhone/Sparrow combination with Qobuz Hi-Definition files/stream sounds amazing, especially when using files downloaded to your iPhone (which Qobuz allows with only subscription, you don't have to buy files to download) so there are no cellular hiccups. Highly recommend this cable as best sounding, simplest, and most affordable solution to Hi-Definition music on the go. I've searched for a long time for this solution!
