My elderly mom had begun having trouble getting in and out of our vehicles - just losing leg strength with age making it harder for her to situate herself when sitting down in a car or to get up and out when exiting. This little handle is great - it's very sturdy - the short steel handle inserted into the steel frame of the car door mechanism gives super strong support for even a heavier person to push down against to reposition themselves in the car seat or to help push up to standing when getting out. It makes such a difference! It's easily stored along the seat edge or in a car door pocket and takes just two seconds to grab and insert into place. I highly recommend it for anyone older with diminished strength or for someone recovering from surgery, etc. It's so useful that we've since bought several more to have in every family member's vehicle for anytime either of my elderly parents needs to get in or out.

Works extremely well for my elderly mother, will definitely help her getting out of the car if theres snow or a little ice. The durability seems like its very solid, and fits the door perfectly without coming lose or feeling like it will slip.

I have RA, and this is the best investment yet in an “adaptive device”. Lets me get in and out of any car or SUV without help or a fear if falling. I feel confident enough to drive myself places alone for the first time in several years. Highly recommended for anyone who has trouble getting in or out of a vehicle. I can open the driver’s door, put the handle in the door lock, open the back door and put my walker in the car, close the back door, then use the handle for support while I move into the driver’s seat safely. Getting out, I just open the door, put the handle in, and use it as a sturdy support to stand safely while I retrieve the walker. I cannot overestimate the value of this little device. It has given me back the freedom to do things on my own without having to wait for someone else. I keep one in my car, and have a second to take with me when I am a passenger in someone else’s car. I have used it in sports cars, jeeps, pick-up trucks, SUVs, and sedans. I have never recommended any product more frequently or been happier about an online purchase. Honestly a must-have product for anyone older or with mobility issues. A valet parking attendant at UT Southwestern Medical School saw me struggling to get out of my car one day and offered a handle like this that they kept at the valet stand - a kind gesture that genuinely changed my life. Cheap enough for someone with temporary issues standing without pain (like a torn knee cartilage or sprain), but sturdy enough for an overweight person (weight limit 450 pounds), or someone like me with a chronic condition.

This is good quality and works ok. It is a little wiggly and doesn't hold itself in place very well. It is easy to use and fits right in the hole on your car. It seems like it will hold up for a long time.

This was a simple, sturdy helper for tackling removing your "seat" from the car seat. Surgery, arthritis, even dizzy spells can complicate what used to be a simple task. The help toward sure footing is a real blessing.

This is so easy to use for a variety of disabled people. It handles a lot of different weights - I am a smaller build, and my family is much larger. All people in my household can use this. The grip and fit work really well. The material of the handle is wonderful. This worked so well.... I no longer have it. My grandmother commandeered it from my car. 😂

I wish it had a little more stability to it as it is a bit shaky when in the door well door latch thingy, but so far it is working as described. Provides a better place to grasp and push for support for seniors struggling to get out of the car. She seems to find it good to push down on while exiting. Helpful. (But I do think the design could include a little more stability, an anchor... it's simple and convenient right now to insert and use with no muss or fuss, but I really worry about it dislodging while in use, that would be disastrous.)

This is a very easy & safety device, esp. for getting out of a car.

Mi madre de 83 años tiene osteoporosis y tenemos que cuidar su espalda. Al ingresar al auto se dejaba caer al asiento ya que no tenía un soporte adecuado para sostenerse. Este pequeño utensilio le ayuda a subir y bajar con mayor ligereza, lo cual le aumenta calidad de vida pero principalmente seguridad. Lo recomiendo.

I wasn't sure about getting this at the time ,but so glad I have as I find our car been a Sudan a little hard to exit sometimes after a long journey,this makes it so much easier to stand with this handle you don't need to use the door to lean on this is much more stable and easy to use so glad I purchased it
