Review: Great product - Accurate description Review: The result was better than when the boat was new - I was initially confused by Teleflex & SeaStar products, believing SeaStar were copies. In fact they are the same company and same products but in Canada known as SeaStar. I bought the cable for a Tracker ProV16 with a Mercury 40hp since the original had seized right up. The old cable was a 14 foot but it was installed with 2 small radius bends so I experimented and found there was room to put in a 13 foot cable with larger radius bends. In addition I trimmed back a few inches of the flotation foam near where the cable exited the hull at the outboard end to smooth out a small bend there. The result was better than when the boat was new. I had sticky and extremely stiff steering, it was so difficult to turn that I thought I was going to break the fiberglass console from the torque. Now, I can turn the wheel with one finger - on land! The cable appears to be a direct OEM replacement, the rack end came with fresh grease and the motor end had the perfect amount of lube as well.
