On the positive side -It does a very good job washing. It works like most top loaders and sloshes the clothes around in the soapy water, activating the surfactants in the detergent to remove dirt. You can see the dirty water coming out in the drain. If you have never seen that before, it will surprise you.It is bigger than I thought. I put in the water first - about 2/3 to 3/4 and added the soap and the Calgon. I am in a place with unfiltered hard well water so I have to buy good detergent and the water softener like Calgon or washing soda. You don't need that if you have city water or soft water.I then did a load with 3 tank tops, 2 t-shirts, 1 pair shorts, 5 days of underwear and bras (all adult large clothing).After that I tried a load with 3 pairs of sweat pants and 3 t-shirts (all adult small). I might leave out one T-shirt next time, but it was pretty good.I set the wash for 6 minutes, let it soak for a couple minutes, and then set it for 6 more minutes to handle really dirty stuff. It worked very well and the wash water was really dirty.I then filled with cold, did a 3-minute run for rinse, and drained out that water. The soap washed away and the water did not seem dirty.The drain is gravity fed, so I put the unit outside my shower and ran the drain hose over the lip. It did not drain completely out each time, because of the bump to get over the lip of the shower. At the end of each drain, I just lifted the unit up for a few seconds, using the side handles and it drained right out. Long term, I might get a board to put under it to raise it up over the lip.The next part was the part that surprised me. I left the cold water running into the tank and rinsed each piece under it, then squeezed it out and put it in the spinner. You can only do 1 pants and 1 shirt at a time in the spinner, so you have 2-3 spins per wash load. The spinner actually did a very good job spinning the clothes to not be drippy wet, and I only ran it for 2 minutes each time. As a test, I took the whole load and I put it into one of the big Nina Soft Spin dryers to see how much more I could get out. I got almost a cup of water (7oz) out of the full load of 3 pants and 3 shirts after running it for about 6 minutes. So, yes, the big spinner does get more out, but the little spinner was still pretty impressive. All the notes about balancing it are true, so I will not rehash those. Do it right, and it works right.A lot of people complain about the hose. It is flimsy and short and I never used it. I have one of those old little green spiral water hoses (not the fabric ones, the hard plastic spiral hoses) that fit right in the slot. It was already cut in the middle due to a hole in it. I put one end on my faucet aerator adapter I got at the hardware store, and pressed the other end (just the cut end of the green hose with no fitting) into the water inlet slot. It worked perfectly, with the exception that I lost the use of the bathroom faucet while doing laundry. You can always just use a pitcher or a bucket to put in the water, but plan to spend a few dollars to make something that works for you.The negative-My only complaint is that I did not pay attention to the size of it. I saw the videos and people saying they used it in their campers and such. They must have big campers. I thought I would put it on my kitchen counter and there is no way it fits there. The dimensions given on some sites were incorrect, and others were correct. I just had not pictured in my head very well what 25" tall and 25" wide look like. That is my mistake, not a problem of the product.

I have been using this for laundry for the last 2 months now. Well, my wife has anyways. Since we bought this and a 25 dollar drying rack, we have not been back to the laundry mat. It works just as advertised and has held up well for the few months so far we have used it. I would say we were spending 30 bucks or so a month for 2 adults at the laundry mat. So in only a few months it has already at least made up half the money we spent on it. I cannot say how long it will last, but if we get 6 months out of it, I would be happy enough. I originally planned on using it to supplement our laundry mat trips, but the wife likes using it enough that she just does all the laundry with it. She will put in 3 or 4 shirts and a few pairs of socks or underwear in one load, so not too bad. We do not wear jeans, or heavy clothing, I would imagine you would not want to stuff more then one or 2 pairs of jeans in it at a time or you might wear it out quick. All in all if you do not mind doing a little extra work, it is a great product to do some small loads of laundry in. I would not expect it to last a lifetime, but with care and not over use or over loading, I could see it lasting several years. I will update if I run into issues in future but I am happy with the purchase.

Apartment living sucks if you don't have your own washer and dryer, so I figured this thing would save me some money.The washer in this unit works great. It does the same work I'd do by handwashing. The cycle for "Normal" seems to do the job well without being overly harsh on the clothes, a bonus for anyone who is tired of their everyday clothes getting holes from industrial washers. It takes a little time if you don't have a faucet hookup, but you'd probably take the same time doing it all by hand anyway. If I had only purchased the washer portion, this would probably be a 4 or 5 star review. Alas...The dryer immediately crapped out. First load of laundry. At first, it ran fine for the first half of a load. When I started on the second half, it wouldn't run. I figured maybe the clothes were too heavy, since some of them were really absorbent, but then the thing started smoking (some kind of electric smoke -- clear and semi-odorous, but definitely the "burn your throat" variety). It kept smoking when I stopped it.Again, if I were only buying the washer, I'd probably be a happy camper. But the spin dryer died on the first go and spewed some electric smoke garbage on top of it, which I assume is terrible for anyone to breathe. If you're in an apartment, it's not like you have much ventilation, so this could have been worse if I hadn't sat there watching it on the first round just to make sure I was doing everything right.It's a really great idea, and all the video reviews I've seen on YouTube have given units like this some kind words. But I'm not at all happy by how quickly it went from "this might do the trick" to "OMG is my apartment gonna burn down and start the Apocalypse"...

How much can you shove in here? Something like;4 pairs of fabric pants2/3 pairs jeans10 tank tops/light t-shirts (girls)6 heavier t-shirts (boys)2 regular bath towels1 beach towelone set (fitted AND flat) full size sheetsone queen size sheet (fitted OR flat) at a timeWith all of these, you could throw in a couple washcloths as well.Spin cycle:You will only be able to fit half or even one third of the clothes that fit in the washer into the spin dryer. Not much of an issue as the spin dryer takes very little time. You will not be able to use the spin dryer for beach towels or queen sheets. It's too much weight for it to spin properly, even if you try wringing out a lot of the water by hand first. The spin dryer shakes a little bit at the beginning, but should even out pretty quickly. If the load is "unbalanced", it will get worse after those few seconds instead of getting better. It is very obvious when that happens, and you should stop it and try to redistribute or put less things in. If the load is balanced, the machine won't shake, but it will still move slowly across the floor. Mine is trapped inside my bathtub, but even then, don't leave it alone while you are spin drying until you've done it a bunch of times. And like I said, spin drying takes very little time, so not a big deal. This will not get your clothes completely dry, but it will make them take much less time than stringing them up on the line when they are soaking wet.How I use my washer: I put it in the bathtub. It is the first time I wish I had a curtain instead of sliding glass doors. I am not entirely sure how one would use this washer without putting it in the bathtub (or I GUESS on a counter, but if you want to run it on a counter you'd better hold on to it the whole time the spin cycle is on) because the drain hose is too short to reach over the tub from outside. Also, the hose provided to connect to a faucet for incoming water does not work for my faucets. Well, because it's in the bathtub already because of the drainage tube, I just use my detachable shower head. That is my saving grace. If I didn't have that, I probably would be much more upset with these tube issues, but using the showerhead is working for me. Especially since apparently my boyfriend used a metric sh*t ton of soap when he does laundry (we don't live together but sometimes our laundry gets mixed up), so every time I get to one of our shirts that he has washed recently, it seems like there is soap for days. You really find out how much laundry soap you've been wasting in regular machines when you can see the water before it drains away. I've had to rinse some of these shirts seven or eight times in the beginning (and he wonders why he gets a heat rash when he sweats in long-sleeves, well, that might be your answer). I can use the showerhead to give the clothes an extra bit of rinse, so for now I don't mind so much that the tubes are ineffective. I might tinker around with them later.Overall, I am very pleased with this machine as I HATE going to the laundromat. I will still need to go there for larger blankets or if I get back from a trip and have a lot of laundry to do, as this is more for keeping up with one person (two people is pushing it) wearing a normal amount of clothes, not for doing ten loads in a day. The load sizes are small and you have to be more involved in the process with this machine as apposed to an actual washing machine. You have to come back and set up the rinse and spin cycles yourself, then go hang them to finish drying. I did a lot of laundry with this when it first arrived, and if I had that much laundry today I would just go back to the laundromat.If it fits your circumstances like it fits mine, it's fantastic. But don't think it can do as much as a regular washing machine.

i received the Giantex portable mini washing machine today and have done 4 washes already- the average wash load consist of 4 t-shirts, 4 under wears, a few pair of socks OR a couple of light weight pants and 2 t-shirts...Pros: The clothes came out clean and in good shape. I wash for about 3-4 mins using a tablespoon of detergent per load, then drain and wash again with just water and then transfer the clothes over to the spin dry for 3 mins, done with one small load! I hang delicates to dry and put the rest into the hot dryer.Cons: I am alittle worried about the electric motor over heating as there is a 'motor smell' coming from the bottom of the machine where the motor is. The machine is suppose to be on a flat surface, which it is, but the motor is warm and smells as though it is overheating on the leveled surface of the floor. I hope it is not an indication of a faulty motor, especially since it was only used for less than an hour.The other cons are the thin plastic knobs that have air line cracks, back plate that is screwed on the back of unit sticks out- in other words, not flushed to unit , and some of the edging along the unit is sharp to the touch.All things considered, I think it is a solid 3.5 stars out of 5. I'd like to give it a 3 stars but for $87.00 it is closer to a 4 stars. My Panda XPB36 $150.00 lasted about 2.5 years before it broke a couple of weeks- motor finally stopped after a slow kind of finale. Some people wrote in saying it still working well after 3 years but mine didn't. I contacted Panda and they said to buy a new motor that I have to put in myself would cost about $35.00, I think without shipping, so I decided to try this new Giantex. I hope this last me at least 2 years. These little machines are convenient to have for sure but know they do take some work because there are more 'mini' loads to do and you have to transfer washes to the spin compartment. You also should be home while using the mini washing machine because it can shake quite a bit, rock while washing or spinning, rock ALOT while spinning- you have to re-adjust the laundry to be leveled in spin dryer.If the motor gives out or something changes I will update my review! Good luck if you are giving it a go. One last note- the instruction manual is very difficult to understand because the English is written very poorly. You would be much better off with You Tube. There isn't a phone number or Company printed on the manual, nothing, no one ,if you wanted to contact a company representative. You would have to contact Amazon or try to contact manufacturer through your Amazon account, your orders, leave seller feedback, and then Contact the Seller.UPDATE Feb 18, 2018: My Spinner stopped working 2.5 months after receiving it. I've used it approximately 2-3 times a week which is about 6 small loads in total of daily cottons and twin sheets. I really liked it while it worked. Customer service was terrific in giving a full refund, under 3 months warranty I believe. I got lucky it happaned under 3 months.I am wondering if it would have lasted longer if it was used just 1-2 times weekly and maybe only very light loads such as wash towels, socks and under garments...

Ok the facts first, got this little machine 5 days ago and love it. Description was great, got what I was expecting. Have done numerous loads of all types and have a pretty good idea of the dos and don'ts. First thing, this is a mini washer, don't expect to come home and do 2 full loads of laundry. I am a single male, and this machine will wash about 90 per cent of my laundry. Don't expect to get your comforter, really large heavy towels, thick blankets and similar items in it. A pair of jeans and t shirt is a load. 3 t shirts 3 pair of socks, and several under wear makes a load. Does not sound like much but there is good news. The wash timer goes up to 15 minutes, most of the things I wash come out clean with a 3 to 6 minute wash. Next, you don't need to buy bargain detergent again, go for the good stuff. If you wash clothes that aren't filthy dirty about a tablespoon of detergent is all you will need, remember this is a mini. Saw a video of a couple doing a video of there first load, when they added the detergent they added a full measure and then added a little more. It took them forever to get the suds rinsed out, they couldn't believe it was so difficult to do a load of laundry. Next the spin dryer, it is smaller than washer. Also it is Not a dryer. However you will be pleasantly surprised by how dry things come out. The spinner really does a great job. Yesterday tried a really light weight fleece throw, washer handled it fine, but when wash and rinse were done it was really heavy. I was concerned about about how much it weighed, so I let it hang in tub for about 10 minutes to drain off some of the water. Put it in the spin dryer for 2 minutes and took it out and was nearly dry. I just laid it out on comforter on bed and in checked about half hour later and it was dry. About were to put your washer. I live in a small apartment with a small bath. It fits between tub and toilet. you need three things to use this electric, water to wash and rinse, and a way to drain. This is not automatic you have to work a little, finding a good location cuts down on the time you spend. Since mine is next to tub I use my hand held shower to fill, you could also use a small bucket. There is a water inlet with a supplied hose which is pretty much useless. Lastly you need to drain, it drains by gravity so you will not be able leave it on the floor. I still haven't got mine completely worked out yet, can drain about half in to tub and have to finish in a plastic dish pan on floor. This little machine is pretty powerful and needs to be on a sturdy stable base. Also if loaded properly it is very quite, be careful on spin side if its loaded off balance it will shake really bad. Even if you load it correctly for a few seconds when it starts it's best to hold on to machine. There is also a plastic disc in the spinner, before putting clothes in take it out and put on top of clothes and press down. Hope this helps out, just don't overload.

First off, the motor in this is got some power in it! If you expect this is like doing laundry at the laundromat, your in for a wake up call. I'm 60, single, fashion designer. This is purely a trial y error thing! No guides, no nothing. It's Uber small, I use the bucket filled with water y soap to hand wash y rinse all my delicates, then empty it y let it spin my garments. Jeans, 1 pair at a time, my designer t shirts y underwear... I wash in a mesh bag (like what's used for bras), due to the powerful motor the agitation it fought but effective on getting the dirt outta your clothes. It's truly like back in your college dorm days when living was not so glam. If your impatient, want instant gratification... This ain't for you. It's a spin dry NOT a heat dry so take into consideration hang drying your clothes as well. Myself, it serves my purpose and is worth the money in my opinion. If you can live with this, I recommend it! Heavy y bulky items like blankets, jackets or anything structured has to be washed in commercial grade washer y dryer.

This was purchased just for baby clothes and I have used it for that only. so far it has worked great. As you can tell it’s not a heavy duty machine so you have to be gentle with it to get value for your money. It makes a clicking sound when I overload it sometimes, but once I notice I reduce the load and the sound stops . I use about 4 times in a week for no longer than 5min at a time.

Update: we bought it in April. It's only been used for light, small stuff and treaded carefully. The "dehydrator" is broken now. It'd probably take a month or more to get another one, ignoring the cost.Just not worth it.It works great. It washes well and the clothes come out of the "dehydrator" just damp.The issues are mostly information which is missing.- the electrical cord is short. You'll have to decide for yourself if you are comfortable using an extension cord.- remember to switch to "drain" mode when you are running the "dehydrator" (the spinner) or the water will build up inside and it won't "dehydrate"- if you balance the clothes in the dehydrator, it won't make much noise and will take most of the water out, more than I can wring out by hand- only put in enough water to cover the clothes in the washer- don't over-fill. Pro Tip: After your very first wash and drain, make sure you switch back from drain before refilling wash tub again ;)Excellent. I live in a cozy apartment. There are laundry facilities, however in these times of physical distancing and neutronic hygiene, like that I can completely control this (well much more than sharing washer/dryer in a building).It works good so far. All reviews noting the 'stunted' hoses are 100% correct. Nothing fancy, but I can see, if the fit permits - they will do the job. Otherwise, really? This isn't a big deal in my opinion because if you're setup with it in the bathtub when doing laundry and have a bucket at your disposition, simply fill that. You can fill the Giantex Wash basin much quicker that way and therefore I find more practical to use the product this way. But, as has been noted, it certainly will work connected with hoses firmly to a water source. Optionally if you have a hose on from a water source you can just fill it that way too, either holding and aiming it into the Giantex wash basin OR just sitting the end of the hose into the wash basin to allow filling.As for quality. Clothes clean. Need approximately 1/6th the amount of detergent compared to normal. Fantastic.Spinner - works great. From having experience wringing out clothes in the bathtub, this thing is wonderfully superior than that. I've stepped out of the dark ages and into the light. Already 'euro' adjusted, I use a clothes rack and no drip. Beautiful.Some more tips. The spinner needs to be coaxed into use. Google some video reviews, one lady outdoors using a garden hose to fill it speaks of *this. Be patient, she's spot on. Great tip/find.(*Otherwise, the Giantex will be rocking your bathtub and your neighbors to hell. Maybe you might want to do that... .;)Noise? Seriously, I don't get it. I know my neighbor has one and it makes LOTS of noise in comparison. I cannot speak about it though without more knowledge than the noise, but the Giantex is not noisy at all. When loading the spinner from a _full_ washer, you _must/should_ 'dumb down' the load, maybe split it or 'thrice it'.If you're still reading up to hear, fantastic. One last PRO TIP. If you have a huge pot/cauldron - something to boil a big thing of water with, you can also fill the washer with that and have an ultra hot wash done on your clothes. Word of caution here, not endorsing this because we don't want people ending up in the ICU with scalded feet...Still reading? Add a drop of white vinegar to your wash.JK
