I Lost my instructs can someone guide me how to pair please

Hold down the power button in the top right of the keyboard until you see one very long flash of the right (green) LED. If you see three short flashes, repeat this step as you just turned the keyboard off! Hold down Fn and tap C. The left (blue) LED should start flashing - the keyboard is now in pairing mode. The device is called "Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard".

Does this work while detached from the surface? I want something that works like the original type cover with the option to remove the keyboard & type

Yes - this is the biggest surprise plus for me, really handy. The downside of that is that they keys are still live when you flip the keyboard over, so keys are active and get pushed by your knee etc. It's easy enough to switch keyboard off if doing that for long periods, but I forget.

Can i also have my Bluetooth speakers working at the same time as the keyboard

It can pair to up to 8 devices at a time but will only stay connected to 2 at the same time. I hope this helps
