Liberate Your Bluetooth How did you come up with the idea for this product? As a former Cisco engineer, Aruba executive, and founder of his own WiFi mesh networking company, Felix Zhao has been on the search for a universal wireless protocol for nearly two decades. Unhappy with WiFi's effect on battery life and ZigBee and Z-wave’s lack of integration with smartphones, Felix finally settled on Bluetooth for it's open standard and universal reach and compatibility. Bluetooth was a natural choice because not only is every smartphone Bluetooth enabled, but an estimated 4 billion Bluetooth enabled devices are expected to ship worldwide in 2016 according to Bluetooth SIG’s annual report. What makes your product special? The Cassia Hub is truly unique and innovative. It’s the world’s first Bluetooth Router, and the only product to connect up to 3 Bluetooth Classic devices and up to 22 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices at the same time and extend their range over 1,000 feet. What has been the best part of your startup experience? The challenge for Cassia Networks at first was figuring out how to solve the problems associated with Bluetooth without requiring any changes on the end devices. The best part of the startup experience has been knowing that the improvements we are bringing to Bluetooth are going to ultimately foster a whole new class of affordable Bluetooth IoT and connected home devices online in a way that was previously not possible. With the Cassia Hub, the future of seamless Bluetooth connectivity is now here.

I am quite satisfied with the product
Overall, I am quite satisfied with the product. It comes very solid packaging, and the setup was very smooth without a single problem. I am using it every day.The good:[Connectivity] My entire home is on a single meshed network with google wifi (2nd generation), So there's no separate SSID for 2.4GHz. The app successfully picked up the signal[Range] My living room is 34ft x 20ft. I tried to place the hub at one corner and speakers at the opposite corner to test the range and it worked pretty well.[Streaming Music] One advantage of this product is that now I get to stream from any music app I have on my phone (iPhone), and choose to stream it to Cassia from the system menu. I am no longer bound to certain music apps. The not so good:I have experienced a few interrupts when music was streaming. The speaker just went quiet, and after a few second will pick up again (while the music was still playing on the phone). It was not often, but still annoying. I believe this is a signal issue, should be an easy fix through OTA.

Great to have this in the house!
Router and speakers both have a modern look and are light-weight.The set up instructions are very clear. I had a little bit of trouble getting the initial connection to work, that was because our home wifi router was private and the ssid was not exposed. Once we opened that up, the Cassia router was able to detect the connection. (Alternatively you can use a wired connection.) Note that it only supports 2.4 GHz. Our home router supports both 2.4G and 5G so it was not a problem for me.The rest of the setup was a breeze - very easy.I paired it to the bluetooth speakers, put one in my office (one end of the house) and the other one in the family room (the other end of the house). The speakers functioned well. Now we have music streaming throughout the house. One suggestion: It would be nice to include instructions to people how to check whether their router is 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

Great product, but only pairs with "select" devices..
This product and app are great, except it does not seem to pair with any devices that have more than four digits for a Bluetooth password (mine have six). What's more, the Cassia Bluestream (great idea, BTW) wants to "monopolize" the audio stream, making it near impossible to link from other devices directly to the speaker(s). Still, if there is some tech support and a few kinks worked out, this solves a great deal of my issues with connecting to Bluetooth. Oh, and due to the range (500+ feet), you're able to essentially see all of the neighbors' Bluetooth devices as well! ;)

This high tech device is awesome, the appearance is fashion
This high tech device is awesome, the appearance is fashion.Connection setup is easy with detailed instruction page, the entire set up process was finished within 1 minute, smooth!Paired with my blue-tooth speakers and also works well, easy to control with my iPhone. Streaming is quite stable so far, which is my biggest concern regarding BLE products. I even tried to connect by placing a speaker in the garage in the 1st floor while the router is in the bedroom from 3rd floor, still got good connection.I will highly recommend this product to my friends. Looking forward to see more Cassia products!

Pile of crap - don't bother...
Wow...what a pile of crap!First of all, hub would not correct to a V2 Eero network - no error messages, nothing! Figured out through trial and error that I could get a connection when I utilized an Ethernet wired connection. Given where the product needed to be used, this would not be a viable long term solution. Having at least got it connected I was curious on range and sound quality. On both these factors the product was a bust - speakers would only work up to 15 feet away barely through one sheet rock wall ( forget the 1000ft and 2-3 walls they claim ! ) ; in the home they were going to be used in the walls are 2 ft thick and made of stone, so no chance; worse the sound coming from a Spotify account between just 2 speakers was horribly out of synch - unlistenable basically and nothing seemed to be able to bring it back into phase - pausing songs - rebooting Cassia Hub - nada. So all in all, a complete bust. Pity - if it had worked as described would have been the perfect solution. Am returning for a full refund.

Great idea but not working as expected.
It is a great idea, however I have the below challenges:1- it connects only to wired network, Wi-Fi never works on both 2.4 and 5.2- it works fine with 2 speakers, once I connect a third one the sound is distorted with really bad quality.3- it works fine with airplay (from the phone), however with echo dot worked once and then can't connect to it anymore. As I said the concept is great, but I think it needs much more work!

Great product. Works as expected.
Wanted a solution to stream to multiple bluetooth speakers and bought this router. Setup is smooth on iPhone. Note that the manual says Cassia Hub must be connected to 2.4 GHz band if you choose WiFi connection. I have both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi at home so this is not an issue. When adding a 2nd speaker, I noticed the speaker name is the same as the 1st one, probably because the model is the same. Later I figured the speakers can be renamed in the app. I like the app's control over how to set up each speaker as Left, Right, or Stereo mode. Very useful when I change placement of the speakers. Wish the app had separate volume control of each speaker.Tried streaming to BlueStream from iPad and also my laptop, works fine and just as expected. I placed the hub in the living room and the speakers in different rooms. The connection to the speakers is good, definitely better than directly streaming from iPad in the living room.
