I needed to mount a direct mount derailleur for a 1x9 to a 2x9 conversion.This adapter worked perfect. Easy to mount and made it easy to adjust height and angle.

This adapter fit my needs, mostly. I mean, I have my derailleur on my bike now and I can ride it, but there were 2 problems I found with this clamp.1. Not Origin8's problem, maybe. Just about every clamp on front derailleur comes with some shims (cheap pieces of plastic) to adapt a large clamp (like this 34.9mm) down to other sizes (like the 28.6 I needed). This clamp does not come with any shims. That means you have to order multiple parts or head over to your LBS to get the shims. I knew this when I ordered this part, but it seems super cheap to not include shims (cheap pieces of plastic) even if the price would go up a buck or two.2. This one is Origin9's problem. This adapter is sloppy. The slot the derailleur indexes off of is too wide. This introduced some forward/backward movement into the derailleur that had to be accounted for in the installation. This means I could not run the outer plate as close to the teeth as I normally would (as the manufacturers recommends). Overall, this has not, yet, changed the performance of the derailleur, but tighter tolerances would produce a higher quality part.

This is good. Allowing me to mount my front derailluer as needed.
