Lee Men's Premium Select Regular Fit Straight Leg Jeans

I ordered 4 pair of jeans, various prices (some basic, and pair of high end) through the Prime Wardrobe for trial. In the COVID environment during which this is written, going to the store and trying on jeans is impractical. I normally wear 33W x 32L jeans. Of course I wish I were taller, but 32L normally runs a little long and 30 L clearly too short. These Lee Premium Select jeans fit good, real good. In fact, I sent the other 3 pair back and it was a no-brainer to keep this pair. Great fit in the tush (I weigh 175), PERFECT length. Legs are comfortable in they are not too tight nor too baggy. The stitching is even and well done. Pockets even, etc. etc. I have worn jeans for decades (grew up in the Levi generation) and have found Lee quality to be preferable. (Note: I think Wranglers are generally well made with a complete variety of sizes, but Wranglers are too loose in the butt for my skinny behind and you either "want" the Wrangler look or you do not). In my 4 jean comparison, was another pair of Lee Jeans and these "Select" jeans the pair I kept. Well worth the extra $5! My style conscious girlfriend likes these as well.....a lot!

I bought one pair (chopper color, 36x36 - I have Longmire legs) and they fit fine and I find them very comfortable. They're not too heavy and have a little bit of give. Probably not rugged enough for cowboys or construction workers, but fine weight for casual wear. The fit was good and the rise allows the jeans to sit on the waist. I originally thought the dye process was defective, because there were noticeable wide horizontal tiger stripes on both sides of the fly, but I looked at the picture and they show up there, so it's by design. I was so pleased with the fit I ordered a pair of Dylan color, same size. Interestingly, the rise is not quite as high and the cut of the fabric is different. They don't feel as good as the Chopper, but they're still better than anything else I can get. The stitching seems a bit sloppy on the Dylan pair. My overall score for the two pairs would be a 4 and a half. By the way, they haven't shrunk after washing, but I take them out of the dryer while still a bit damp and let them air dry overnight. I'm 6'6", 220 lbs.

Update: Like the great fit and cut of Lee Classic Select, but unlike these Lees, Levi's 513 offers a dark indigo color & Levi's are a thicker and sturdier fabric. If avail for $10-12 more (& were a year ago,) I'd go with Levi's 513 since similar fit. Vertigo color & length has changed in last 2 yrs. This model jean is great for people who are slim in rear & leg & like a slimmer fit, but do not want a short rise and very tapered bottom leg opening. I would not say that these are of very good quality. Just OK quality. I buy them for the cut and fit & slight stretch of fabric. I would recommend ordering 1" smaller in waist than you normally would in non-stretch jeans. Caution: Length varies by color! Black ones run long and the color of the black fades very, very quickly. Surprising no basic dark indigo color offered. Strange oversight. Due to middling overall quality, I would not pay over $32 for these, just my opinion. I have 2 colors. I buy for the slimmer fit, which is very good for me. Need more length sizing consistency from color to color.

These jeans blew away my expectations. They are head-and-shoulders nicer than any non-STF pair of Levis I own, and were significantly cheaper. Beautiful, thick denim that breaks just right in the legs. Deep, sexy, multifaceted dyes. An excellent, modern fit that is neither too baggy nor swayed by the cloth austerity of the skinny-jean fad. I am seriously replacing all of my non-STF Levis with Premium Select as I wear those out (too quickly, I might add, as the denim quality on those is not what it used to be). I don't wash these -- yeah I'm one of those guys -- so I can't comment on how the fabric or color hold up with washes, but I do know that these still look brand new after wearing them 50-75 times since I purchased them early this year. If I had never heard of Lee and I got these as a gift, I'd guess they cost $80-120. Premium indeed.

Fit well

I have never been a person who needed stretch material and was skeptical. This stretch is minimal and the benefit is that it keeps the jeans snug without ever feeling tight and binding. I have even noticed some appreciative glances. My only criticism is not with the product but with the color names. Photos are rarely exact and hard to differentiate. Many color names give no clue to what the actual color is. The color I chose is ok but I would have chosen a different color if the color name had given me a clue as to what the actual color is. Without looking, what color is "Boss"?Color and fit remained stable after washing. I would purchase these again.

I was in the market for new set of jeans because I am no longer comfortable with the new batch of Levi's and I heard some good feedback from Lee users, so I decided to jump ship. I wasn't disappointed. For others out there who are long time Levi's users, this Lee jeans fits like a 505, except it feels more comfortable because of the fabric used that has a little stretch on it. I can move more freely with this Lee jeans. It is comfortable enough that I can wear it to sleep. I am now on my 4th pair of Lee jeans since I the first time bought, and I like the consistency of the comfort on each one. Highly recommended.

I like these pants, but they're a bit limited... The denim is thin, so don't plan on doing any heavy work in them. They're stylish and the color is great, but it tends to run a bit in the wash (I have another pair of pants that is getting a dark blue tint now...) The other thing worth noting is that the price of these jeans fluctuates frequently. I bought them for $20, and as I write this, they are marked up to $30. Last but not least is the fit... the waist is a great fit, and I own 2 pairs of these pants (one store bought and one from Amazon). I usually fit in a 40X32. When I wear the 40X30, the pant leg comes down to the top of my ankle. When I wear the 40X32, the back of the leg is constantly slipping under my shoes when I walk (yes, with a belt). The length is quite a jump and it's strange... for the perfect fit, the waist and belt have to be on my hip bones for the shorter pair, or up to my stomach for the longer pair... These jeans are good for the money, but I think next time I'll stick with Wrangler.

Gute Hose für (in meinem Fall) einen guten Preis. Die Hose sitzt sehr locker - ist eher im Baggy-Style. Ich fühle mich wie in den 90ern wenn ich sie trage - ist ja auch wieder 'in' (meine Kinder werden mich dafür hassen).

Simply put: The best fitting, most comfortable and best looking jeans I have bought in years. The cut is great and they have a little “give” in the waist - Something which anyone with a yo-yo waistline (like myself) will fully appreciate. Nice deep pockets which don’t leave you worrying about losing change when you sit down, and which house my cased iPhone 13 Pro Max fully and comfortably, with a reassuring fabric thickness which doesn’t shrink-wrap it for all to see, and yes, the same applies to all other contents of your jeans (yes, those too). I’d happily have bought another two pairs in different shades shortly after my initial purchase, had Thames not sadly been so hard to find in stock - Though I suspect that is a good sign and merely confirms their quality and demand. Don’t waste you money on cheaper jeans. These are excellent and will last much longer.
