Dritz 661T Extra-Large Eyelet Tools for Applying 7/16-Inch Eyelets

I got these to add to some custom-embroidered microfiber sport towels I made. The concept seemed simple & the attached directions were pretty straightforward. But, as other reviewers noted, the little teeth never grabbed the fabric. When putting it on the anvil it wobbled & never seemed to fit correctly. Despite that, I hammered away. The result was a warped outer ring, and still it fell apart. I tried it with & without some stabilizer and the results were always dismal. Even DH threw his hands up & pronounced it "cheap stuff." It may work better on some material than others, but I really wonder since it failed on relatively thin fabric. Very disappointed with Dritz, a company that's been around a long time. Also, be advised that the "brass" version is a very shiny gold.

HINT: You’ll need your own device to create the hole for the center of the grommet. Package has no measurement specified for what size the hole should be. I started with a nail hole then used sharp scissors to enlarge the hole. Recommend making the hole slightly smaller than you’d expect so that the material is snug when the grommet is pressed through.

Please remember that while the quality of the rivets are fine you have to remember this kit does not have the tool to install them with and Amazon doesn't seem to sell the kit alone so be sure to get the one you want and has the the Anvil

Exactly what was needed when adding rope handles to fabric baskets. When using the punch we placed a small bock of wood under it and it worked great.Ours were also missing a piece so only had 9 sets not 10.

Mine was missing a piece so I had enough for 9. Package claims 10. It's not one of those things I'm going to return it over when I had a project here waiting. I'm just annoyed that it never seems like I get extra of anything for some reason, always shorted. Otherwise it seems to have worked. The fabric did pucker some.

Purchased the companion rivets to make a shower curtain. You definitely need a solid place to use this and a good strong arm/hammer.

These are strong and fit well together. I would purchase again!

Good but too expensive. Just order grommets from other brands offering bulk prices and get same quality

Ils sont tellement de bonne qualité que ça devient presque un défaut! Il faut frapper vraiment très fort et à de nombreuses reprises avant que l’œillet commence à "s'écraser" très graduellement dans sa rondelle! J'avais acheté ces œillets dans le but d'en installer (4) sur un ouvrage au crochet (sac à main). J'ai fait le test au préalable sur un tissu bon marché, mais j'y arrive très difficilement dû au métal trop rigide. Je le recommande sur des tissus très épais comme une bâche ou autre, et vous devrez frapper vraiment très fort avec un bon marteau lourd! De là le "3 étoiles" que je lui attribue. C'est, somme toute, un produit de très bonne qualité qui durera vraiment longtemps; y a au moins ça comme avantage! Mais sur des articles plus délicats comme les tricots, pensez-y bien! Vous risquez de les endommager à force de frapper dessus!
