I play BF4 and I have a difficult time aiming. I always had to play with a 10-15% sensitivity. Sure, that helps me aim better, but I was super slow and less flexible at that sensitivity. With these, I'm able to play at 35% without a problem!!!! They took a getting used to, but it wasn't too difficult! In regards to them snapping off, I really didn't have any problems. Unless you're super rough on the analogs, you should be fine. Also, if the rubber has come off your analog stick, you will probably have trouble keeping them on. If you love playing FPS and have trouble aiming, I definitely recommend these. Review: Deadly - I've waited a while since purchasing so I'd have some experience to base my review upon. So, yes the claims are true, these little joystick extensions give you much better control for FPS games. Using simple machine lever principles, the same movement (input) of your thumb on a longer joystick results in smaller (finer) movement on your on-screen crosshairs... making you deadly accurate. I went from a kill/death ratio of 0.82 without these extensions to 1.06 in just 3 months (update: now 1.13 in 4 months). That is including the prior stats, so my K/D probably doubled or tripled since using Kontrol Freek. The extra thick soft rubber grip is great for extended play.
