Ice Age 5: Collision Course

A real disappointment!
This film is a real disappointment compared to previous Ice Age films. Silliness reigns supreme here and much of that humor simply falls flat unless you are a young child. Neither my wife nor I liked it at all. The storyline had potential, but all the attempts at silliness overwhelmed the plot to the detriment of the movie. Bottom line: Unless you like endless and mindless rude juvenile humor, give this one a pass.

Lost what made me like the rest of the Ice Age movies really good
A huge disappointment for me! This was a badly written script. There were too many characters and too many storylines. It was overdone, over the top, and too complicated. It got away from the main characters too much. I got lost in the mishmash of all that was happening. A simpler less complicated script with more focus on Manny, Diego, Sid (remember the first film that started the success?) and Elly. Too much of the film was wasted om Scratch and a host of new characters which drew me away from the main characters. It was as if the writers said "Let's throw in all these characters in a complex story line. IMHO they got way too far away from the essence of what made these films appealing to kids of all ages.Sorry to have to give this one star since I really liked the rest of them.Cheers everybody!

A very underrated yet adequate ending.
I've just watched the film, and let me list some pros and cons:Cons: Historically inaccurate, mostly aimed for kids, can be cheesy regarding plot, and a little too weird and goofy.Pros: Charming and fun to watch, very funny, good story that stays true to its' tradition like its' predecessors, and a very good example of a family-friendly film.Overall: Even from other reviews from other websites, it may not be the best compared to the previous films, but in my opinion, it shows heart and moral character that wraps up the Ice Age films to where they need to be, that is hopefully if a sixth film is still possible. 😥 Blue Sky Studios (1987-2021)Score: 7/10

but I'm fine with it
The gang's all here, doing what they do so well - the characters, getting into and out of scrapes left, right, and up and down the middle; as often as not, solving personal problems all along the way; and the real-life fantasy-grade cgi, providing not only the backgrounds but virtually seamless movement and flow from one physical position to the next. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with the story line either. A bit more hair-raising than previous editions, but I'm fine with it. I think you will be, too.

Not even close to being as good as the others.
I give it four stars because my kids (10, 7) like it. They would probably give it five stars. There are some funny parts. Personally, I have enjoyed all of the other Ice Age movies a lot more than this one. I took them to see this one in the theater and found myself bored, yet I bought it because thy liked it and we have the other four Ice Age movies. I did wait for the price to go down. I just could not pay full price for it.

Great for a Family Night
A great family movie. If you're over twenty you may find some of the humor more annoying and overdone than funny but it is still a good movie to watch. If you liked the previous Ice Age movies you will definitely like this one too.

Keep 'em coming.
I loved it. I think the only one I have not liked a lot is the one with the little boy. I've read that some people have complained because the Ice Age movies are not scientifically accurate. Really? Snort. This one does have some scientific gobbledygook in it. Whether it's accurate gobbledygook or not, I don't know. Or care. I watch these when I'm looking for something light, an escape from this crazy world. Anyway, this one might be my favorite...

Will Not Play - Very Disappointed Twin Boys
This DVD does not play. It spins wildly, vibrating the player. (We tried it in two different DVD plays, both of which play any other DVD without any problems. Exactly the same experience in both.) Unfortunately, because we ordered it to take on a family vacation for our twin six year old boys, who LOVE Ice Age films. By the time we were back and able to return it, it is no longer eligible for return. So, an entirely useless purchase.

Great Film
I have always loved the Ice Age series of films and this is one of them. I love all of the characters in the film and the plot was great as well. In great condition with no playback problems.Would recommend the film!

Great film but this is the 1 disc version
The DVD arrived promptly however the picture used above to advertise mentions a free DVD ‘A Mammoth Christmas’ is included but this was not the version I received. The finer details state it should be a 1 disc version so The seller needs to update the image for this item.DVD film not used yet but it is an excellent film and the disc sent is new and sealed and I’m sure it will meet expectations.

This film was released in 2016 and is a typical great Ice Age film that the whole family will enjoy, if you have seen the other ones, then this is a must. This film is apx 90 mins long.
