If you have no use for your device and you want to render it useless if not dead, plug this thing into a USB port. It serves absolutely no constructive purpose. One might as well shove his hand into a yellow-jacket nest to "test" insect repellent. The thing is evil.

Will it work on car stereos?

This will work on ANY USB port on any electronic device that has a motherboard. Most newer stereos are basically computers so they have motherboards...so the answer would be yes.
