This machine makes really nice buttons at a great price. I’ve owned other button makers and had this problem where the buttons pop apart after light use. The buttons I’ve made with this machine have lasted a long time and look great and seem really sturdy. The directions are a little tricky to follow but the videos you get to with the QR codes helped us get the hang of it. One tip: make sure to rub the plastic cover disks with you fingers a bit before using them because they are very thin and it’s easy to have two when you think you have one. Another thing is to make sure you press down the washer in the lower mold after each button. The washer will pop up a little when it makes a button and if you don’t reset it by pushing it down, your next button won’t work. After I figured out these two things, me and my kids have made a whole bunch of perfect buttons with no errors. Since this button maker was less expensive than others I was worried about quality but I literally can’t imagine wanting anything better for home use. My kid loves making buttons for herself and friends. Oh! And this company has real customer service! I had questions and they were kind, helpful, had extra information, and replied quickly. I was overjoyed. If you buy this button maker and have any trouble figuring out how to use it just email their customer service and ask and they can send you extra videos and tips. This button maker is my favorite purchase in years

I bought it as a birthday gift for my little niece, and it was a huge hit. She played with it non-stop all afternoon! The kit comes with pins in different sizes, which adds a lot of variety and fun. The best part is how easy it is to use — kids can create their own designs and instantly turn them into real pins.It’s a great way to get creative, and the finished pins can be worn, collected, or even used to decorate backpacks. NOTE The black washer needs to be placed in the deeper well for this to machine to work. The black washer is in the bag with the clear plastic covers... I wasted a lot of time and materials prior to figuring it out. So in my mind, this product gets docked a star for the crappiest instructions. Would recommend watching a YouTube video and refer yourself back the photos that were taken by another reviewer that shows placement of the black washer. Then you should be good to go.

This thing is junk and it broke the one day I used it. I set it up at an event I was hosting hoping to have a DIY-friendly button making station. I wound up having to do the pressing for every button and plastic parts broke off rendering the different sizes unusable until I had to throw in the towel. I probably made 15-20 buttons before I had to fully pack everything up and return it. I’ve had children’s toy badge makers work better and last longer. I've made around 100+ buttons by now, and aside from the handle being a bit spooky (it feels like it might snap when I apply force, but so far hasn't...) I think its a pretty great button press! I've only had a couple of buttons catastrophically fail, but those were due to misalignment of the paper/mylar or a defective button part. My trick is to place the paper design straight on, and have the pin part at about a 30 degree angle to make sure it lines up. Also, make sure you are pressing past the resistance on the 2nd step, or you won't get a seal! It should press just a bit more after the resistance. This is where the handle feeling flimsy is a bit scary lol. Also, the green plastic heart mold fits this model as well!

I love this button maker!So far, I have made three different-sized buttons and one size magnet.It works very well once you get how and where to line up the design to cut for a button. Try a couple of trial ones before cutting a lot.One thing I need to remember when making a lot of buttons is that static is your enemy. If when sliding the plate over to press down the paper and plastic cover, check to make sure static didn't pull them back up to the top. If that happens, everything will go crooked, and that one will be garbage.It doesn't happen very often, but keep an eye on it once you get started.I highly recommend this button maker. So much so that my aunt already bought one, too.
