Fire risk not fireproof
This mat is not fit for purpose and is incredibly dangerous. Some ash came out of our fire and burnt a whole in the mat straight away, thankfully I was sitting there or it could have caught fire. I have reported this item to Amazon as dangerous. As someone else mentioned, the item received is different from the photos, our mat did not have the stitched edging to it and looked like it had been cut from a roll. If I could it zero stars, I would. Hopefully Amazon pull this item as unsafe and dangerous. I await my refund after quality checks have been made on this item.

Good value but tends to have pulled fibres and snagging
Colour is as shown. It's fire resistant as stated but tends to get snags and bobbles. The dogs love it though. It does the job it's designed for and is worth buying.

Zero if I could !!!
Nothing like the description, shiny back all creased and separating. Not a rug or mat, just a piece of cheep fabric badly cut off a roll. Amazon you need to get this tested

Truly awful
Absolutely nothing like the photo, isn’t fire resistant and a complete waste of money. I’m going to have to replace it.

Does what it's supposed to
I bought this to protect the floor by our log burner as I was worried that the heat would make it warp. This mat fits perfectly in front of the hearth and has stopped the floor getting hot. It's not pretty to look at but we just put it out when the log burner is in use and shake it out and fold it up the next morning. I didn't want to spend a fortune so quite happy with this purchase

Do not buy this, it melts and doesn’t protect
As soon as an ember landed on the mat it melted straight through to the wooden floor under mother the mat was bought to protect. Not fit for purpose.

I’m using it in front of my wood stove.

Not a rug. Flocked plastic sheet. Highly flammable and completely useless. Anything but fit for purpose. Could not be more disappointed.
