my ferritin was a 6 back in January (i'm iron deficient but not anemic). i've struggled with low iron since I was a teenager and in general, iron is a very complex mineral to absorb, especially in women. I've tried so many other OTC brands, non-heme and heme, lactoferrin, and prescription ferrous sulfate but my ferritin wouldn't move and actually dropped to 5 mid-March. my doctor realized my ferritin may be low because I wasn't getting enough elemental iron. my doctor suggested I try this brand. this was my last option before potentially moving to intravenous infusions (which comes with lots of side effects but does help many people when well tolerated). I just got my blood test back and my ferritin rose to 67! I started taking this brand back in mid-March after my last blood test. it also doesn't upset my stomach like the other brands I've tried. I take this around 4am every morning with vitamin C for better absorption! wait 2+ hours before consuming calcium/dairy, tea, high phytates, fiber & protein, proton pump inhibitors, or magnesium because iron WILL NOT absorb. you can also try every other day but that didn't work for me with other brands (I didn't try it with this brand though). the increase in energy was like night and day and my hair is growing back pretty fast now (even body hair lmao). i'm no longer extremely cold, fatigued, or experiencing that 'pins and needles' sensation under my feet anymore as well. once I get my ferritin between 70-90, I'll switched to OTC brands for maintenance! I hate how complex iron can be but thankfully this helped.

These iron supplements have been just what the doctor ordered—well, not literally, but close enough. I’ve been trying to raise my ferritin levels, and these seem to be helping without any of the usual stomach drama. I take 2 to 3 a day (don’t quote me, I’m not a doctor), and they’ve been really easy on my system. No nausea, no cramping, no regretting my life choices an hour later. Just smooth sailing so far. Obviously, everyone’s different, so proceed with caution and all that, but for me, they’ve been a great find. If you’ve struggled with iron supplements that make your stomach protest, these might be worth a try—but maybe ask your actual doctor first, not some guy writing Amazon reviews.

I’ve been taking this supplement daily for almost a week now and I honestly feel like a different person. My energy levels have drastically improved and I don’t have my usual afternoon slump. I have to take Viramin C with it to ensure it’s properly absorbed. Thankful I haven’t had any stomach upset whatsoever.

A very high “elemental” iron at 150 mg. Most non heme iron supplements are usually around 65 mg. of elemental. This is a really good non heme but only take every other day so your body can absorb it.

A little difficult to open the packets but working well.

The individual pill packaging is a bear to wrestle with. Just pushing them through the package can result in crushing the pills. Opt for the bulk bottle and eliminate the hassle.

Love being able to get a medication that is available anytime and arrives on time if not earlier.

As a pharmacist , this is my go to for Nifrex 150. Reasonably priced unit dose so I can take my evening dose with me or both doses when traveling. Major is trust worthy brand
