This book made me cry. For all the Lost and Wasted Years™ spent being a bit of a sea squirt (read the book). Then I pulled myself together at page 16 and binge read the rest of the book. It runs at a furious pace but that’s the beauty of it – you can read this little book in one sitting. However, the messages contained within will not only ‘twang’ as you speed read, they will stay with you long afterwards. I’ll confess that I read Richard’s first book, ‘Stop Talking, Start Doing – a Kick in the Pants in Six Parts’. And yes, it made me do things. I left behind a job that I hated and started out on my own. It’s not easy to change the habits of a lifetime and some of this ‘thinking big’ stuff you’ll already know, if you listen to the voice within. There’s plenty of common sense on offer here but sometimes you just need to be reminded/told. Quite firmly and by someone who knows better. It also helps when advice is delivered in a digestible, funny, intelligent and visual way. Hell, this book even has Pointers in it and that makes me love it even more - I have two. So, do buy and read this book - give it to anyone that you think would benefit from thinking bigger (that’s most people, right?). And thank you, Mr Newton for making me think. Bigger.

Completely disappointed with this book. I found the book to be an erratic mish mash of ideas. One idea does not flow to the next. Their seems to be no logical flow to the book. Parts of the book could have been written by a 12 year old. He lost me when he started quoting 'Winnie the Pooh' to inspire us. Anyone who is motivated and inspired by 'Winnie the Pooh' could probably be motivated and inspired by anyone.

I read Richard's first book and thought it was great and his second doesn't disappoint. He has a brilliant way with words and although there is an awful lot of information thrown at you, his writing style somehow stops it from being overwhelming. I'm looking forward to no.3!
