This core drill bit comes with a standard 5/8"-11 thread, directly onto most standard Angle Grinders. If use it with a power drill or rotary hammer, you will need a separate adapter (such as a 5/8"-11 to SDS Plus, Hex, or Round shank adapter).

Should I use the hammer or impact mode on my drill?

No, absolutely not. You must NEVER use this core bit in hammer or impact mode.
