Buy larger size!
After reading many reviews on the Carhartt bibs, it was pretty obvious that they fit very small. I typically wear size 32x30 pants, and opted to purchase the 38x28 bib, which was way too large. I returned the 38x28 and purchased the 34x28, which fits much better, although is quite snug around the waistline, even with only a standard thickness long sleeve thermal shirt and plain jeans underneath. I considered exchanging them again for 36x28, but figured the 34's fit just snug enough that I though the 36's might be a bit too large. I'm 5'5", 155lbs with an average build. If I slimmed down a few pounds, the 34x28's will fit perfectly. Other than the fit, the quality of this bib is phenomenal. The fabric is incredibly durable and thick, and the quilting on the inside should keep me warm enough in any weather Eastern PA has to throw at me. Even though they're made from such sturdy material, I didn't notice any limit in the range of motion. Overall, I couldn't be happier. You won't find a better bib at a better price.

Carhartt overalls work for me
Needed a pair of overalls to clean out a house, garage, and 5 acres for an elderly person. Knew this was going to be a huge effort to get the job done. Had a pair of overalls many years ago when I was in college but not had a pair since. Ordering online made me nervous because I had only one opportunity to get the sizing correct since there would be no time to send them back if they did not fit. An ideal fit in normal pants ( if they actually sold this size) would be a 37 waist and about a 33.5 length. I ordered 40x34 in these Carthartt denim overalls. Out of the box it was pretty snug if I had all 4 waist buttons buttoned. I figured I would just keep just one of the upper buttons unbuttoned which would be fine. Plenty of room to move in all directions, squatting and bending . Length just sweeps the ground wearing boots which was perfect. Working in Texas Hill Country in upper 90 degree heat, bandana on head, work gloves, dust mask, shoveling, lifting, lugging ( you name it ) for 5 very long days. Packed a 20-yard rubbish bin with an unimaginable amount of crap. Breaking that first sweat is the worst but after that just keep working. These bib overalls were EXACTLY what I needed for this job. Wearing normal blue jeans would have driven me crazy in no time cause they just don't stay up. I would have been constantly pulling them up trying to cover the butt crack. Doing gawd-awful work in dusty dirty searing heat is bad enough, doing it while pulling up my britches every couple of minutes would have been absolute hell. Soon there was plenty of room in the waist with all buttons buttoned - I was sweating buckets every day. One thing I noticed is a bit of blue dye transfer to a white t-shirt with all the sweat ( had not washed overalls previously) but this was just a work t-shirt so no worries there. At times I was using external knee pads for the crawling work but could imagine that without those the knees of the overalls would wear quickly. Am back from that trip and need to wash them -- hoping they don't shrink and I don't "grow" because these are perfect. Not sure I set any fashion trend but Highly recommend if you have similar types of chores to complete.

A Top quality product
These overalls are rugged and well built. They will take a licking and stay intact when put through their paces during hard work without suffering any noticeable fabric degeneration. They tend to run a little small in comparison to what I'm use too. The black pair seem to attract lint easily, which must be brushed off with a lint brush if too much accumulates on Them. I would have perferred these overalls to have had more water repellent quality designed in them. The new style fasteners are very secure but take away some of the nostalgic old time look that I would have prefered the designer had kept during the design phase of this wonderful product. In order to increase the appeal of this product, I suggest that the designer consider building in a permanent crease all the way down the front (facing forward and center of the knee) of these bad boys. I think that would really make them stand proud and pop.

Overall pleased.
I usually wear a 34 length. These Carhartts seem a touch longer than my 34 Liberty's. Liberty pants pockets are much more generous, back and front. I prefer them. But the Carhartt's have the watch pocket which I like. The shoulder strap is attached with a clip in attachment. It's OK, but I prefer the loop and button. A bonus to the loop and button in Carhartts is that you can snap them into the chest pockets buttons when washing and they don't bang around as much. (Carhartt's lined bibs used to have these, don't know if they still do.) Chest pockets on the Carhartts, as others have said, are too small to be useful for just about anything (except the laundry thing if shoulder straps had loop and button). I prefer the Liberty chest pockets (unless Carhartt were to go back to the loop and button), although they have their own issues. And I rarely use the chest pockets in any case. The hammer loop on the Liberty is MUCH bigger than on the Carhartts. It's easier to find but I have had hammers fall out of it. I prefer the Carhartts but it can be tricky to find some times. A compromise between the two would be preferable. The utility side pockets on the Liberty, again, are more generous than on the Carhartts. But both pretty much hold what you need. Overall, I've owned and used Carhartts for years and years and I've bought LIbertys for years and years. Carhartts seem much more durable, but at an added expense. Don't think you'd go wrong with either.

Very good fit, lots of room to move around. The manufacturer has designed and built a very excellent product. This is my sixth pair!

J'ai pris une taille au dessus pour un look un petit peu baggy et pas trop ajusté. Comme décrite, le jeans n'est pas trop épais mais reste résistant, mon chum l'adore

Lightweight denim. Didn’t fit even though sizes correct. Buy big. Returned and got Dickies.
