Great accessory at a great price. The company has several beginners tutorials on YouTube which are very worthwhile. I love it.

Good but the battery life could be better for longer shoots.

An amazing Piece Of Engineering Whose Function Exceeded All Of My Expectations
The FeiyuTech Official SCORP-C Camera Gimbal is supplied in a branded retail box within which you are presented with a piece of technical excellence in this precision instrument. In the box you will find the 3 axis gimbal stabilizer, a very nice (and immediately useful) tripod stand, camera backing base, quick release plate, lens holder, and an assortment of cables and fixing screws. I do love a piece of well engineered equipment and in this gimbal that is unmistakable, it is lightweight at just 1200g but the calibre of the materials is superb with aluminium being the dominant material along with some good high specification plastics and chrome where they are used. The controls for the joystick and buttons for the various functions all feel top notch, whilst the various locking screws, trigger and adjustment knobs are all knurled to give excellent grip. As always I charged the gimbal before using it for the first time, allowing me to do a little reading and also watch a few videos and download the app to use with it.The initial setup took me a little while as I first had to determine where all the various locking points were and then plug in the cables, set the camera in the position I wanted it to be used and then change that to see if it remained in place...following that turning on the gimbal to see if it was happy with that setup – I did have to tweak this before I had it all correct. I then used the cliders to show where it was set so that I could go back to these the next time I use the gimbal. The controls are what I would consider fairly standard, whilst there are are some that can be assigned via the app once downloaded and paired with the gimbal, it is a very useful app and will help you to understand and use the gimbal far quicker than trying to read the manuals etc – wish I had done that first! The app also allows remote control and a number of adjustment options to get the most from the gimbal. In use this is brilliant, it ensures that the camera can stay focussed on a target whilst maintaining stability and eliminating any camera shake. It is comfortable to use for a reasonably long duration, the controls are well placed, clearly marked and very responsive in use.Overall I am blown away by this piece of kit, the presentation, build quality, attention to detail, design, features and most importantly the stabilization is amazing and I would very strongly recommend this to anyone who is considering a gimbal to aid their media production. Top marks to FeiyuTech for the Scorp-C

Amazing gimbal !
This product is amazing. I love it and it is worth every penny. This gimbal is very lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around. It also comes with a carrying case that you can use to place your camera in when you're not using it so that it doesn't get damaged. It has three-axis stabilization, which means that it will keep your footage very smooth and even throughout the entire video. It works great with my Sony A7RII camera and I've never had any issues with it. The gimbal comes with a USB cable, so all you have to do is plug it in and turn on your phone's Bluetooth connection, then open up the app on your phone to connect them! This makes things so much easier than having to connect both devices through Bluetooth or something like that. The gimbal itself has an LCD screen on top of it where you can see what angle your footage is being filmed at so that you can make sure everything looks great before you start shooting! All around this product is amazing--I would definitely recommend buying one if you want something lightweight but high quality!

Battery life
The gimbal itself was very good and you can use the app to operate it. It charges up very quick however, I was recording at some weddings recently and the battery life let me down so much. The product description says the battery should last "13 hours theoretically" but I found myself charging the gimbal a number of times after an hour / hour and half. Then It was so difficult, I had to connect a portable charger to it.It may be worthwhile if you are recording short videos, but not the best if recording for long periods. Due to the kind of shooting I need it for, it's not right for me

Well Made, Easy to Use, Strong & Durable, Good Battery Life
This camera gimbal works great and is nicely priced! The overall build quality feels well-made and doesn't feel cheap. It is very easy to set up and get working. The most important thing to remember is to take off all the locks from the motors (and put them back on when not in use). These are important and do a good job protecting the motors. The built in battery lasts for a good while and doesn't take long to fully charge. It charges via USB-C and a cable is included in the box. You can also charge it from a power bank and it can be used while charging as well, if needed. The gimbal feels very nice in the hands and isn't too heavy to hold even for an extended period of time. This is a perfect size if you ask me and it's very easy to take with you on the go. I just use the box as my travel kit.It does a great job stabilizing the footage when walking or running. I know most cameras have built in electronic image stabilization, however, to do that it crops in on the image and sometimes it crops in a good bit, therefore not allowing you to get the full picture. Using something like this will help to provide a nicely stabilized "full image". I used with a good bit of different cameras and it worked just fine, so it is versatile, too.The app is nicely designed and works just fine on my android phone. There are a lot of different features and settings that can be changed/used in the app to help you make your best videos - this is easy to use and figure out. You don't have to use the app (after you set it up for the first time) if you don't want to, just be sure to read the instructions on the what the different buttons on the gimbal do.All things considered, I really love this gimbal and I am very impressed they packed this much build quality into a relatively cheap price. If you do a lot of filming or are just in the market for a camera gimbal, I would highly recommend having this one!

SCORP 2 is a 3-axis gimbal w/ integrated AI tracking, max 5.5 lbs, all plates and cables included
FeiyuTech SCORP 2 is a 3-axis gimbal with integrated AI tracking. It is capable of a max payload of 5.5 pounds so it can handle most DSLR or mirrorless cameras. An ergonomic dual handle accommodates vertical and horizontal shooting angles. The gimbal itself is fairly compact and light at 2.4 lbs. It does have a certain amount of heft, though, compared to gimbals that only handle smartphone videography. The gimbal kit comes with multiple plate types to attach, including:1. fixed plate2. slider3. quick release plate + screw4. lens holder + screw (for support of longer camera lens)5. camera backing base plate6. mini tripod baseIt does take time to look at the instructions, get the plates installed to your camera and to the gimbal, and balance the gimbal. This is the situation with any 3-axis gimbal, though. The gimbal handle + body has many handy operation buttons on it such as power, trigger, mode, joystick, and shutter. For buttons like shutter to operate, you must connect the gimbal to your camera via a cable or BT. The Scorp 2 comes with a selection of cables (eight, counting the charging cord) and the hope is one of them is a match and connects gimbal to camera. If not, use BT.I recommend connecting your smartphone to the gimbal with their phone app as there are many remote features you don't want to miss. You get settings, the gimbal remote control operation, parameter adjustments, and some built-in filming modes. The SCORP has a great implementation of the new AI for gimbals with intelligent tracking. You really only need to learn two of the hand gestures to get started: turn AI tracking on/off (use one hand to make the "okay" gesture of first finger and thumb forming an "O" with three other fingers pointed up) and trigger the shutter (show palm with stiff fingers in the "stop" gesture). Put this gimbal on a tripod and you have the friendly AI as your cameraman.I highly recommend this gimbal for smooth shooting with your DSLR or mirrorless camera PLUS the latest and greatest AI tracking capabilities.

Won't stop vibrating
First, presentation is nice, however, I have another gimbal from Hohem that came with an actual carrying case which is way nicer than a box with a handle.Second, FeiyuTech support is very pleasant to deal with but very slow and ultimately was unable to help me with my problem. I would email them at midnight and they would reply 23 hours later which happened 3 times in a row. They were unable to offer a real solution.Third, the Scorp 2 will not stop vibrating. I have it perfectly balanced as verified by both the app and by support who I sent a video of proof. The tilt motor won't stop vibrating and it would transmit what sounds like an A/C line hum into the camera's audio.Fourth, the replacement Scorp 2 was 50x worse. When I put it on the ground, it feels like sitting in an old car with an unbalanced 4 cylinder engine, idling at too low of an RPM, with 3 broken motor mounts.Besides being completely problematic, the battery does not last all that long and also tends to heat up, probably both related to the vibration. The 2nd Scorp 2 lasted maybe 2 minutes and turned off. The 1st Scorp 2 lasted probably around 15 minutes from a full charge.Real shame, I really wanted to like the Scorp 2. I'll be sticking to my Hohem MT2. Not nearly the same weight class but at least the Hohem MT2 works.Unrelated, but the 2nd Scorp 2 had the GUI on Chinese by default. The first one was English.

This was impressive
I have never had a gimbal stabilizer before so this was new to me. As I write this keep in mind that i was using this with a Canon camera that was not on the supported list. So I was not able to use some of the integrated functionality, but I knew that going to it. I was interested in the stable gimbal movement and that was not effected by a non-supported camera. The setup takes a little to get comfortable with. I was also using a camera body and lens that was pushing the limits of what this gimbal was designed to handle. As a result, there were a few times where the brains off this device could get confused. Because of this I had to be aware of the movements that I was asking it to manage. As long as I stayed within that boundary, it was amazing how well this gimbal could keep the camera on track. I did notice that there were a few times where it would forget where it was at, and it was a pain to get the camera back to where I wanted it to be. This might be more of a leaning curve issue on my part. I don't often shoot in situations where I need a gimbal such as this, but when I do, I think that this gimbal will handle my needs nicely as long as I don't ask too much of it.
