Little Monsters, Volume 1

Little Monsters is a pretty simple coming of age story with some clever twists that kept me invested for the most part. You have a group of kids who have seemingly survived the apocalypse and if that was enough they also happen to all be vampires. Surviving off the blood of rodents they spend most their time playing childish games and just existing until a survivor rushes into their midst and everything begins to change.Its simple but its effective and I don't know if your a fan of Jeff Lemire ( I am ) but if so I think you'll enjoy this though I wouldn't put it up there with Gideon Falls. The art from Dustin Nguyen fits the story well. Its sticks mostly to black and white but with some splashes of color here and there that really off set everything nicely especially when things get violent.All in all I recommend Little Monsters, and I'll be happy to return to this world when Vol. 2 comes out

A variant on the classic and usual vampire story. They are creatures of habit, but not truly evil, though they get rather excited with human blood. The art saves the story, because, let's face it, vampires don't work physiologically. Sunlight? Sorry. Blood as a complete nutrient? Naah. Still, this isn't bad, and the art is excellent. Look forward to the second volume.

I talked to a stranger at a bar and he recommended this comic book. I went and got it and immediately read the whole thing because it's so good. Most of the comic is black and white which I'm not a fan of. But the story was great and I'm glad I picked it up!

... disappointed to see he's joined the improper pronoun usage crowd. Makes deciphering some sentences pretty annoying. Still a good story overall and the art is perfect!

This is simply great. If you’re a fan of vampires and you enjoyed lord of the flies you have to read this book. Bonus points for the drawings, black and white but still visually captivating. Interesting use of the colors too. Must read.

Ordered this and it arrived within 24 hours, Great so far!The book itself has curled up as if it has gotten damp at some point, not enough to bother with a return as it's the first time this has happened to me and all the pages are ok.The five stars are for the writer and artist. :)
