Time saver, does its job.
I brought this in April of 2018. I’ve used it without issue over the last year. Cut 12 cords with it last year and 4 this year. It is Definitley a time saver and works as advertised. It is out of the way, stays on the saw, and does what it’s supposed to. I will never go back to the magnetic ones that stick to the bar. You can pop it off and on in a second. The nut stays tight, I’ve never got a slack chain because it loosened up. Just ordered a 2nd one for my wife’s saw. A little pricey for what it is, but it’s faster than marking and much better than a magnet. Used on a Husky 460 and 435.

Measurement tool
Attached to the saw and cut everything the same length. No guessing anymore. Works well. It's fiberglass so it will last.

Easy install, durable, fast way to accurately measure firewood length.
Fits my STIHL chainsaw perfectly. I spray painted the white measuring rod to orange as soon as I received it. Way easier to spot on the ground now - especially in the winter!! After attaching to chainsaw, I measured out from bar and easily cut the rod at 16" with a pair of electricians dikes. I added black electrical tape at 12" as I have a smaller wood stove that requires 12"-16" firewood lengths. I tried using a magnetic firewood measuring tool in the past, the kind that sticks to the chainsaws bar. It vibrated off and became a projectile. In my opinion, this firewood measuring tool is much safer to use than the magnetic ones.

Definitely lots of room for improvement
So atleast it comes with 2 plastic rods as they get bent and mangled pretty easy. So what I did was used the quick disconnect part of this and attached it to to a wood dowel. I run down the tree with it, marking my cuts, and then take it off. I use to use a magnetic rod but it just vibrates way to much. I think if this product was offered with just the disconnect hardware and you source the dowel, it would be much better.

If you’re a little OCD like me give it a shot.my customer’s have made great comments . If you ask top dollar for your fire wood why not make it as good you can.

Good Idea & Time Saver
I have cut several cords of wood using this gauge and this has given me great consistency in measurement. I would have given ya 5 stars but the package only came with one rod and it advertised 2 rods. The 1 rod was pre-cut to 16" so I suspect it was a return or something, it did look a little dirty so, I didn't feel this was new. It's the only product like it I see out there, so good job to the developer, Watch Your Order Filling and operate with accuracy and you will have a great business here with this invention. Good job.
