What a truly great product. Perfectly designed. Works extremely well. I've owned it for over a year now, and thought I'd write to let everyone know how good it is. The sharpener does a really good job of sharpening on normal sized pencils and colouring pencils. You can't fit thick pencils in. The user can select 1 of 3 different grades of sharpening so that you can get a very sharp point, blunt tip, or somewhere in between. I didn't consider this useful before purchase, but now i see that this is a really good feature. The machine stops when it is has completed sharpening. I leave mine powered permanently using the supplied USB cable, but it can also be powered by batteries. It works a lot better than even a decent quality hand sharpener and seems to keep coloured leads intact where these would often snap off in a manual unit. The waste compartment is well sealed and you need to press button on both sides of lid to release for emptying. The waste is large enough to hold sharpenings many weeks so i would judge the capacity good for family use. Because the blade is fixed to the lid, once that is open there is no chance of accidental operation and cutting your fingers. The plug going into the sharpener doesn't fully go in so you are always left with a bit of the metal plug showing. This doesn't effect operation, but leaves the whole plug extending around 30mm from the rear. Overall this is a really good value sharpener, at less than 3 times the price of a manual model

Had in my classroom for a few months now and working well. Top tip, it will stop working plugged into a laptop or computer, but does work plugged into a usb plug. Really good sharpener. Saves loads of time!

Sharpener seems well made and robust. User needs to grip the pencil firmly as it operates or the pencil just soins - a grip feature built into the device would be useful. The grading feature (how sharp you want the pencil tip) seems to do nothing, but this is solved by just keeping a manual check on progress. Power is via a USB - the advice is to use a 1 amp power source but this barely drives the sharpener - use a 2 amp adaptor and it’s fine. Alternative power is by battery - I haven’t tried this. A rechargeable option would be a good addition to the range. For occasional use I’d certainly recommend this sharpener.

I am very happy with this pencil sharpener. It was a very good price and actually works really well. Very easy to use and has three different sharpness levels which is handy.

Awful! The only reason there are some shreddings in it are because I usually switch it off and use it like a normal sharpener! What a waste of money. It’s broke 2 pencils as well!! I honestly want my money back at this point. Paying over £10 for a pencil sharpener that doesn’t even work. I need this as a teacher…

Honestly, this sharpener is amazing for the price. At only £12, it’s much cheaper than the other ones I looked at, but it works perfectly. Every pencil comes out nicely sharpened, and the 3 sharpening settings are really useful. I added a photo to show the different sharpness levels (left to right from blunt to sharpest) and a video to show how fast and accurate it is. It’s compact, easy to clean, kid-safe, and has two ways to power/use it. Definitely recommend!

This sharpener is brilliant. Used it the first few times works incredible well! So I took it to church to sharpen the pencils and colouring pencils on behalf of Sunday school but the power of the batteries were too weak as were the two USB plugs I had at the time. Unfortunately, I was unable to operate the sharpener at a time when I needed it the most. I’m planning to go again next week with a brand new set of batteries and a stronger power plug, which work beautifully at home. Unfortunately, I only managed to sharpen about 5 pencils today in church, because the power was too weak. When I got home, I tried again and the sharpener works superbly with a different USB power plug or a brand new set of batteries!!!

Gift for Granddaughter, sturdy and easy to use - sharpens very well.

Bästa pennvässaren någonsin. Så trött på manuella pennvässare som knäcker udden på billiga pennor eller pennor överlag. Bara haft den en vecka men vässade upp alla barnens pennor direkt, ca: 150st. Den e super. Tveka inte.

Ottimo prodotto, versatile e potente. Funziona perfettamente e permette di scegliere il tipo di punta desiderato. La doppia alimentazione è comodissima. Il collegamento tramite usb lo rende molto pratico per la scrivania e permette di non consumare ben 4 pile. Unica cosa a cui prestare attenzione è non spingere troppo la matita. Spingendo forse un po' troppo ho incrinato la plastica cui sono attaccate le lame e il temperamatite non funziona più. Ovviamente ho rifatto l'acquisto perchè il prodotto merita davvero.

Super quick to sharpen pencils. Should have bought this ages ago. Not sure if the different sharpness settings actually do something noteworthy. Overall very happy with this

Excellent taille-crayon électrique, pratique et puissant J’ai acheté ce taille-crayon Amazon Basics pour ma fille au début de l’année scolaire, et nous en sommes vraiment contents. Il fonctionne très bien, le moteur est plus puissant que ce à quoi je m’attendais, et il taille les crayons de façon nette et régulière. C’est bien plus rapide et précis que les taille-crayons manuels que nous utilisions avant. La boîte à copeaux est grande, donc pas besoin de la vider tout le temps. On peut l’alimenter avec des piles ou par câble USB, ce qui est pratique pour le bureau ou la maison. Le bruit reste raisonnable, et le taille-crayon s’arrête automatiquement quand le crayon est bien affûté — un bon point pour les enfants. Franchement, pour le prix, c’est une excellente petite machine. Ma fille l’adore et moi aussi. Très bon rapport qualité-prix, je recommande sans hésiter.
