Looks:This toaster looks great in my kitchen, as it will in any kitchen with chrome accent's. (5 out of 5 for looks)Functionality:This is a great toaster for someone who just want's to push down the button and have toasted bread. There are no special settings for muffins, beagles, waffles or other specialty breads so there will be a slight learning curve as to what level of darkness you want for those items and, at least for me, every bread requires a different darkness level setting.3 for English muffins (crisp but not burned)2 for regular bread (toasted but not dried out)I've not tried it with a beagle or a waffle yet so I'm not sure what those settings will be for me.

This toaster is so light but seems sturdy, time will tell how it holds up. I love the way it looks, and the price makes me love it more. Functionally it works great, all buttons work and each level toasts exactly as it should. The first time I used it I put it up high and if you keep watch it will not burn the toast, unless you forget about it.. I tested a few levels just to see where I wanted it, the toaster did not retain any smell. So glad I found this and purchased it after much back and forth with another brand.

I like toasted seeded rye bread and am a sucker for a good hot dog if it is on a toasted bun. That was the driving force for this purchase. This toaster complies with these requirements for the most part. After using for a few weeks I am wishing it was a bit better. The digital user interface could be better. My old toaster had a count down timer display that I miss. To change the toasting time (color of toast) the + - button is actually ++++ until it loops to the lowest setting. Not a big deal once you get on to it… but how much time is each setting? I am a single senior with rarely a reason to toast 4 slices of white bread (which I never eat). This appliance does a good job of the oversize Rye & Artisan breads. I have dinged a star because of the mechanical carriage that holds the product. While I like a high end quality hot dog it can sit on a cheap chain store bun (as long as it is toasted!) This toaster’s mechanism seems to grab the sides and not let go… I have to dig out the toasted bun with my wooden tongs… Yes…it fits going in… but wont let go coming out. The raising lever seems useless to help. The other annoyance that forced me to rearrange my counter use was the VERY short electrical cord. (26-28 inches). That may see like a lot until you realize the needed outlet is toward the left side and the toaster is 16 inches long! Seems to provide a fair and uniform color result. Who reheats toast??

My granddaughter is setting up her first place and asked for a toaster for her birthday. I found this thought it looked nice so I ordered it and had it sent to her. She was thrilled when she received it. She said it is very nice. I haven’t seen it in person. I live in another state. She is happy with it so I am happy too.

This is a wonderful company to purchase from. I have bought other products they manufacture and am always pleased.I purchased this toaster because of past purchases and they are also a small family corporation. So far the toaster is working quite well(I had a Cusinart for 20 years that finally died so this new Mueller is favorable also)

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this toaster because I get wide pieces of sourdough bread. A traditional toaster couldn’t fit my slices or only half of it would get toasted. This one accommodates my bread slices, each side gets nicely toasted. It has a defrost option which I appreciate because I keep my bread in the freezer. Very good and convenient for me.

It toasts bread and bagels. This was purchased to accommodate longer than 'sandwich-size" slices and it does that admirably. However, we prefer light toast, and have found the 3 setting can produce charred edges. The 2 setting seems to work well for us. Those who prefer darker toast without burned edges may have a problem with it. It is a bit slower than out previous toaster which did not accommodate the longer slices.
