QUALITY like no other - Unreal - Buy this now
Okay I needed to have bought this bit years ago, but I instead bought a knock off cheapie cheapie .. Do not do that. Buy this, and you will be impressed as I am. This thing cuts like a hot knife through cold, frozen butter. While I try, so hard, to observe grain direction before passing through - sometimes that's hard when I'm batching out say 10 drawers or so. I make extra of course, but even with incorrect grain direction this puppy - for now - is so sharp it cuts as clean as butter. I have not messed much with this bits adjustable features but I am glad I have that option. So do not be like me, making okay rails and styles with a junkie bit and only now realized - DANG - what I've been missing out on ...

Spent the money for quality Glad I did
I built a set of cabinet doors out of hickory. One of the hardest North American woods - by far and also known for its twisted grain. So I was looking for a sturdy bit with quality carbide cutters. I was very pleased with both. The added feature of the extended tenon feature allowed me to build oversized doors having the confidence they would not separate at the joints. I am well pleased with my purchase of this quality tool.

Perfect Bits to Make Shaker Style Doors.
The router bits worked great. It takes a while to get them set up, but once you have them adjusted: they make perfect panel doors. I'm very satisfied with their quality.

Great bit combo set, highly adjustable.
I hesitated at the price of this as a novice woodworker, but after spending a lot of time testing the range of what this kit can do, I'm really glad I got it. The design of this is very easy to work with. I would have spent hours in setup and testing to emulate a similar final product with individual bits, not to mention drop similar money doing so. The slot cutters can be finely tuned with included spacers/washers to exactly fit whatever your panel will be. You can adjust the profile so you get more of the beveled face, or less if you want more support for a glass window or solid hardwood panel. I ended up getting the optional cutter for glass panels as well, but you could emulate it with a straight bit if you wanted to. This just saves you time. Honestly if you're debating your own cabinet doors, don't hesitate to get this. After a quick dry run with scrap wood, you'll be churning out rail&stile doors in no time, and be proud of the outcome. A quick hint for other beginners: take the time to pay attention to depth of cut. You'll spin this at a slower speed than many bits, so you'll get the best results with a couple passes rather than routing the whole profile at once. A good 2.25hp or better router recommended for dense hardwoods. Just take your time, test it first and zero in on the best feed rate. Featherboards also highly recommended to keep accuracy on point.

Premium bit
I used bit set for building 16 shaker style soft maple cabinet doors. Once properly setup in router table, zero tear out throughout total job. Didn’t use a backer piece of stock for tear out , no need. Pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is that because of adjustability , there are many washers, spacers if you need them . Instructions are terrible but you can figure it out , basically stack washers as needed. Overall, it’s a great set. I’m very happy I chose it. Also bevel angle is perfect, it’s a great choice.

Very Nice!
I purchased these while building a custom range hood to match existing cabinets. They worked well and I'm very happy with the set. I will be ordering the glass bit for a future project to make cabinets with glass doors. I agree with another reviewer that they won't adjust for the thinner plywood. I tried to use just one slotter bit, but the shank is not threaded enough for the nut to tighten down. You must use both slotting cutters. My 1/4" plywood measured 3/16" and the slot ended up at least 1/32" too wide. Since I was painting the doors white, it left a dark line in the gap. Next time in that situation I may have to shim it from the back or use painters caulk on the front. I did use spaceballs to keep the panels from rattling, but that doesn't push the panel to the front of the slot. Also, be very careful pulling the bits out of the case. The case is very tight and the cutters are very sharp! I used a small rag to cushion my grip. I also cleaned the "oil" off the shanks before inserting them into my router. The cuts were very smooth and the joints fit perfectly. I did change a shim to make the joint a little tighter on my set, though, but Freud made it easy to do. Nice touch! Before starting my own business, I worked for someone else, and I made (literally) hundreds of cabinets and doors on his Powermatic shaper, and these Freud router bits come as close as anything to being as good as shaper cutters! One last thing: there aren't any "real" instructions included in the case. You must go online and download the "poster" for the detailed instructions on set-up and adjustments. When printed out on my 8 1/2" x 11" printer, the print is very small. I may take the file to the local office supply and have them print it out on larger paper, at my cost! Ialmost gave this product 5 stars, but the above mentioned negatives give it a 4 star. I will be buying more bits in this series, and I do recommend them.

The best shaker set Ive ever used
I originally was using my MLCS set to make some shaker furniture, but I could tell that they needed to be replaced because the wood was starting to burn and the cut quality was getting really bad. I decided to purchase this Freud set for a project that I am doing because the panels are going to be just flat maple 1/4" plywood and this set is supposedly adjustable. When i first opened the set I was impressed how well they come packaged in the Freud container. Also, these bits are very thick and heavy. They seem to be almost twice the size of my MLCS shaker set. Adjusting these is extremely easy to do even though there is no instructions. I basically took every washer out from both and I can now use them for plywood panels. I really couldn't be any happier with the quality of cut. There is hardly any chatter marks on the wood and the rails and stiles join perfectly. I liked my MLCS set very much and got great use out of it, but this set is in another league when it comes to build and cut quality.

Great product as usual from Freud you will want a bigger table mounted router for these to get the proper results

For whatever reason this configuration of router bit seems to be very hard to come by, at least here in Canada where we seem to have fewer options anyway ... like all their stuff this Freud router bit is very well made and works extremely well (we use if for shaker recessed panel cabinet doors with an inside 22.5degree profile). It's pricey but a necessity for our cabinet shop.

Really good results. Have built 8 drawer and cabinet faces out of MDF and these bits are still very sharp. Came packaged to work with a 1/4” center panel in the door and the fit is excellent. Will never buy another brand of bits
