Measure your cabinet knobs and lock it the right way
As others have said, lock it the right way. Otherwise they won't work - at all. Also measure your cabinet knows to make sure that they can securely fasten. One dimension you might not think to check is how much clearance underneath the knob head. The lock fits just barely and very snuggly under. This makes for a pretty secure lock but we have to make sure it's on tight. If it's not, it's very easy to slip the lock off even while "locked". Simple lock that works and won't damage cabinets. Worked very well, if we had more knobs we'd use more of these

My 2 yo figured it out almost immediately
Bought these to add a second layer of protection for our cabinets that hold medication and cleaning supplies. My 2 year old son, who is seeming to figure everything out way too fast, went to check out the new lock and less than 5 minutes later walked out of my kitchen repeatedly locking and unlocking the one he had in his hand. *facepalm*. I have been so careful to make sure he is not around to see me release the lock when I need to. I DO THINK these are great quality, and easy enough to manage with one hand as an adult if needed (because how often do we actually have both hands free??).

Works like a charm!
I had to buy this after my 2 kids went through $400 in snacks in less than a week just to pour them on the floor. We’ll imagine their disappointment after trying to sneak in the fridge late at night under the cover of darkness to achieve their wickedly delicious destruction only to be met with a fridge lock and have to fight with it to no avail and hang their head low in defeat while dragging their soggy pull-ups back to bed and lay there in such infantile frustration that only another infant can understand.I won this battle.I’ll keep you posted on the outcome of the war.

Too short, infant too smart
Unfortunately my case was a bit like many dealing with having to buy these items. These in fact were too short between my handles of cabinets and were only able to close to 2-3 clicks. The other unfortunate is that my 17 month old took all of 5 minutes to figure it out.

SECURE!!! 20 months old toddler breaks it easily
I don't know how this product gets 4,5 stars.We used it for the cabinet that has cleaning products (bleach, detergent, vinegar, etc,) and my 20-month-old boy opened it in 15 seconds!!!!The plastic piece is very thin, any adult can also break with two fingers.customer service is very responsive but sort for my review
