CatGenie 120 SaniSolution SmartCartridge-Scent Free

I have two cats and have been experimenting with the settings on my CatGenie for about a month. At first, I just manually ran the litter box 2-3 times a day and this was just too stinky! The poop smell with the scented solution was not very pleasent! I then set it at 1-2 cats to run 10 minutes after they used the litter box which was 100% better! Since then I have changed it to 1-2 cats to run 30 minutes after the cats use the box and this has been perfect. The smell is minimal to nothing for the most part although I don't stand in there when the litter box is cleaning (I have a few times) now. If there is any stinky smell, I just run the bathroom fan which helps. I now like the smell of the scented solution since I have figured out a setting that works well. I have not changed the solution cartridge yet either and I've had it for a month or so. It still has quite a bit in it!

The CatGenie 120 SaniSolution SmartCartridges are amazingly more efficient than the original. I find that instead of need to replace the cartridge once every month, now I need to replace it once every 2.5 months. This more than makes up for the price differential. And of course there are the upgrades to the litterbox itself If you have the original and are considering in trading it in for the upgrade, it is definitely worth it. Now if only they could make the texture of the genie crystals more appealing to the cats...

It's just detergent but it gets 5 stars because the Cat Genie itself is simply the best product I have ever bought in my life. The fact that I only have to clean out the litter box twice a year and plug in a cartridge every few months makes a recognizable difference to my life and happiness. How many products can you say that about? If you haven't got a Cat Genie and have a cat, you're crazy. The customer service is also outstanding by the way. They'll stay on the phone with you and walk you through any procedures.

This review is for the unscented version of the sanisolution. We bought our CatGenie a couple of months ago and while we really like it, I had trouble with the smell of the fresh scent sanisolution cartridge that came with the litter box. We actually switched over to this unscented version before we finished the fresh scent box, and were glad we did. It is expensive but for us the trade-offs are worth it (won't be for everyone, and that's ok). Note this product DOES still have a smell, but it's much milder and goes away quickly. Our cats seem to like the smell better too.

I really prefer the scent free SaniSolution. Something about the scented one and the air dry process produces a kind of sick urine smell. the unscented one seems less potent during the drying process. These are not cheap so I have my system set on once a day for 2 cats. I scoop the poop out since I just don't want to chance it missing something and baking it which IS a horrible smell. I spray some Natures Miracle in there as well once and a while. I think this machine has flaws but I love not having to scoop or buy cat litter or have that horrible cat pee smelling box. The only time I smell cat pee now is during the drying time and its just a little.

Thank you cat genie for the unscented sanisolution. The so called "fresh scent" that came with the cat genie system that I got was so awful that it gave me a headache and one of my cats nearly refused to use the litter box. I Ordered the unscented and a couple days later after struggling to get my second cat to consistently use his nice, clean, (expensive!), new litter box, he finally started to use it. The smell of the fresh scent is too over powering and it must be made with flowers. I am allergic to flowers and I get terrible debilitating headaches. I'm guessing the fresh scent has flowers in it and that's what was making me so sick. Why can't you sell 2 versions of the cat genie. One with the fresh scent and one with the unscented so your customers can choose from the start. Or even better, sell it with both cartridges so we can try both and know which one suits our needs best without having to wait days for the unscented version to show up.

This used to be amazon prime. What happened? Cat genie isnt worth it. You dont save money using it. Assuming you scoop the cat litter once a day. You save 7 minutes a week but you will waste a couple hours every 2 months when you have tear it apart to clean it. Also, the granules get stuck in the cat paws. I find them everywhere through out the house. Definately not worth it. Stick to kittie litter

We have 3 cats and and 2 daughters...they LOVE the cats, I HATE cleaning the litter box...CatGenie, perfect solution! I made the mistake and accidentally clicked on the scent free package, so I would recommend getting the Fresh Scent, it does help out. This is the 2nd time I've bought from this seller and they are AMAZINGLY fast at delivering. Will continue to purchase these from them when needed!

We have Maine Coon cats this is to small for them, if bigger it would be awesome

We go through these a lot faster than I expected on ‘cat’ mode.
