The Sufi Tarot: A 78-Card Deck and Guidebook

This is my first card deck and its been such a beautiful tool and guide for wisdom. The booklet gives so much touching insight. The images are powerful. I feel really spiritually connected to this deck the person who created it did an amazing job. I am not Sufi but have been drawn to Sufi music and wisdom & am taking music classes from a Sufi elder. When I ordered this I also order a book by Hazrat Inayat Khan totally by chance. The book and the cards got here at exactly the same time. In the first reading with the cards the Author names the teachings of Hazrat Inayar khan as some of her foundation. It felt so Synchronous that they came together and that I order both without knowing the influence of the other. I truly love these cards and everyone I've shared them with has too. Definitely worth getting. Things to be mindful of: -They are oracle size, so pretty big but I love that because it means I can really look at the images & so much comes through from the images alone. - Because they're big they're hard to shuffle which means be careful as you shuffle they can dent. I've had then since December with minor denting because I'm bad at shuffling I would absolutely by these again! My deepest gratitude for the creator she really did a beautiful job channeling and capturing the teachings. I can't say enough how much I love these.

The images are stunning. It reads great intuitively but the book also has really deep and meaningful card interpretations and questions to reflect on. Make sure to read the included “little white book” on this one. It is definitely a large deck. Oracle sized as already mentioned. It’s a bit clumsy but with the beautiful images, I don’t necessarily mind the size as much as the actual card stuck. I’ve had it since the release date, 6 days ago and have used it daily. I shuffle/use them gently and the edges are already starting to fray. It also scuffs and scratches easily. I worry about longevity and have already made a mental note that I will need to eventually buy a back up. Having such amazing imagery on this card stock is almost criminal. But I still recommend it because reading with them has been a beautiful experience so far.

I bought it on a whim, as I come from a south asian family and wanted to feel represented. I observed each and every card and couldn't stop gasping, it's beautiful seeing people wearing salwar kameez on these cards. It's funny because my family say that I'm such an American, but still 😂 I love the guidebook since Ayeda incorporates Sufi wisdom along straightforward meanings for every card, plus it gives contemplation and affirmation msgs at the end. Only con is the card size, they're oracle size and it's pretty difficult shuffling with my hands. But I won't remove a star for this, since the borderless artwork makes up for it. To start with, beautiful deck with great art. Good quality card stock in a strong well-built box. The images follow the Coleman Smith pattern with a Middle Eastern aesthetic. But this isn’t one of those decks which simply changes the pictures, it is based in the Way of Sufism a deep and powerful mystic tradition which was born from Islam but has great wisdom for any mystic seeker. Thus this deck isn’t just about future, luck, etc. but about the querents relation to the Divine Lover and their pilgrimage from birth to death. I’ve studies Sufism as a solitary for many years and recognize this as a very useful tool. Not just a deck to add to a collection, but one to use for very special readings for oneself and others. Highly recommended.

Exquisite art is only the beginning of the experience you'll have with The Sufi Tarot. Ayeda Husain's card descriptions blend Sufi philosophy with traditional meanings in a truly illuminating way. The cards can be read intuitively, but if you open the 174-page guidebook you'll be offered an amazing depth of understanding that goes beyond what I've experienced in 30+ years of reading tarot. For each of the 78 cards, we are given Upright and Reversed key words, a description of the images and symbols, a "When this card appears for you" suggestion for how the meaning could apply to our lives, questions for Contemplation, and an Affirmation. Endnotes are included for those who'd like to dig deeper. And you just might want to!

Beautifully drawn. Clear concept. Instantly resonated with me. I could feel it. As I'm a Muslim and from a Muslim environment, the pictures on the cards, their messages felt so in harmony with me. As if I know most of it. I normally get confused between five of swords and seven of swords. But this card deck cleared my confusion. The deck was in good condition. The pictures on the deck were clear to understand and it gives a premium feel to touch. The deck is bigger than my grip though 😅 I love it 💕

On the plus side, the deck and guidebook offer insightful readings from a Sufi perspective. It's a gentle self-reflective deck. I don't think it would work very well for predictive readings. So I feel it's limited to reading for myself. I don't think I would use it to read another person. For self-reflection it's really good. Like a wise friend. The artwork is lovely ... but it also reminds me of Lightseekers Tarot dressed up in Indian and Persian clothing. I would prefer to see classic Turkish / Persian / Central Asian motifs or imagery. Maybe even some stylistic reference to Mamluk cards would have been nice. But no. Just the bland modern style that's popular now. Generic feeling. As another viewer mentioned ... this deck is HUGE. Like literally too big to shuffle. Which is another reason I will only use for myself. I can't imagine reading someone else and they would have to sit there for five minutes whilst I try to mix the cards. Reading for myself it's ok. It's meditative to mix the cards slowly by hand. So if you want a deck for self-reflection, both deck and guidebook are wonderful. The sufi perspective supports spiritual self reflection and being honest with yourself. Minus 1 star for impossible to shuffle and generic modern style.

Beautiful large cards with very well written analysis. The interweaving of sufi principles into each card is amazing- a PHD level class can be taught on this deck of cards, each card has a story with every image contained holding meaning and great relevance to the elements of the card. Truly a wonderful set that comes in lovely vibrant packaging. It would make a wonderful gift for anyone from any religion as it is non denominational.

Den är otroligt vackert illustrerad, baksidan är magisk. Guideboken är jättebra. Passar bra för nybörjare. Korten är däremot ganska stora och lite kluriga att blanda och kvalitén på korten känns något "papprig" (som alla nyare kort från hay house gör).

Mooie dikke stevige kaarten. Afbeeldingen zijn goed.

Hermosas las cartas, las imágenes te transmiten mucha información. En mi caso, hubo mucha sincronicidad y conexión con ellas Un poco grandes para mis manos, pero eso es lo de menos Super recomendable
