Good for a classroom metamorphosis lesson
We used this lesson in a science grades 1-8 classroom so all students could witness the metamorphosis of ladybugs (in addition to the caterpillars we got from insect lore). The ladybug larvae were really tiny when we got them and we shook the food into a separate small terrarium (that did not come with the larva). The plastic stages came in handy to show what the larvae looked like on a bigger scale because the real ones were so tiny. After a couple weeks, they got bigger and turned into pupae, then another week after that (luckily by the last day of school!) they all turned into adult ladybugs and we released them outside! Fun process to witness!

Ladybugs $10 a piece
I purchased this for my preschool classrooms. I was very disappointed when after all the waiting we only ended up with 3 lady bugs. This made them approximately $10 a piece. SO DISAPPOINTING!
