Bone conduction works!
I've been looking at these for outdoor running for ages, and borrowed a pair from a friend - game changing for outdoor running, because as well as my music, I can actually hear the traffic, which is a huge safety thing. Comfortable to wear (once you get used to them), great battery life...I wish there was a bit more bass, but I'm prepared to sacrifice that for the benefit of being able to hear cars, birds singing, and the sound of the waves when I run along the shoreline.

Open-Ear Running Freedom with Shokz OpenMove Headphones
As a keen runner, traditional headphones were a constant source of frustration. In-ear buds always felt precarious, and battling traffic noise to hear my music was exhausting. Enter the Shokz OpenMove bone conduction headphones - a game-changer for my runs! After using them for 6 months now, here's why they've become my go-to training partner:Safe and Aware Runs: The OpenMove's key feature is its open-ear design. My ears are completely free, allowing me to hear traffic, approaching runners, and my surroundings perfectly. This is a massive safety benefit, especially on busy roads or trails. No more feeling isolated or disconnected from my environment.Surprisingly Immersive Sound: Despite the open design, the sound quality is impressive. Shokz's 7th generation bone conduction technology delivers clear audio without blocking your ears. You can hear rich details in your music, even with some traffic noise. Bone conduction might not be for audiophiles, but it provides a surprisingly immersive experience for workouts.Lightweight Comfort: Forget bulky headphones! The OpenMove's are incredibly light and comfortable. They rest snugly on your cheekbones with a wraparound titanium band, ensuring a secure fit that won't budge during intense workouts. I've worn them for hours on long runs without any ear fatigue or slipping.Built for the Elements: These headphones are built to endure tough conditions. They've held up perfectly through rainy runs and sweaty sessions in the past 6 months. The IP55 water resistance gives me peace of mind, no matter the weather throws my way.Solid Battery Life and Customisation: With 6 hours of playtime, the OpenMove easily covers most runs or workouts. Plus, the quick recharge means I never have to worry about scrambling for a charger before a race. The free Shokz app takes the experience a step further, allowing you to personalise your sound with the equaliser, customise button controls, and even access audio awareness modes to enhance your surroundings further.Minor Note: While call quality is decent, it might not be ideal for super noisy environments. But for running and listening to music while staying aware of surroundings, they are fantastic! Conclusion:After 6 months of putting the Shokz OpenMove headphones through their paces, they've cemented themselves as my go-to running companion. The open-ear design prioritizes safety, the sound quality is surprisingly immersive, and the lightweight comfort keeps me focused on my run. With excellent durability, long battery life, and a handy app, the Shokz OpenMove headphones are a fantastic choice for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts looking for safe, comfortable, and feature-packed headphones. Look no further for a truly liberating listening experience on the go!

Really nice bit of kit
Quite impressed with the sound quality on these. Speech is clear and music is surprisingly good with good trebles and mids and more bass than I was expecting (although nowhere near in or over ear buds/cans booming thuds, more a clear suggestion of the frequencies). Obviously the volume is not nearly as loud as traditional phones so they can get drowned out in noisy environments which is the price you pay for effectively having 4 ears inputing sound all at once. Using earplugs, placing them on your ears or wearing a hood mitigates this somewhat. They are very light and the controls work well.Bluetooth connected without issue and stayed connected. One slight issue I have is the band is slightly too big for my head shape so I can't use them lying down as they get pushed forward away from where they are supposed to sit.Battery life is as advertised although they do take a while to recharge. In summery I really like these, they have clear sound and are comfortable to wear. Recommend.

Best thing going if you want lightweight but can't have anything in ear
Best possible sound without having anything in or on your ear -- it rests just in front of ear and uses bone conduction. I am not an audiophile, but it is plenty loud and clear. Works well for spoken word such as audio books and podcasts; and also for music. It's good for allowing you to hear what's going on in the world; but that also means that it doesn't really block out any other noise. It can be a bit difficult to hear when walking along a busy road or in an airplane. (A workaround for a busy road is to wear a hood.)Compared to the other options from this manufacturer, I like it for traveling as it just uses a regular USB cable so you don't need to bring a special charging cable. The rechargeable battery is not replaceable, so once it wears out you need to get a new headphone. It does seem to last at least a few years of steady use, but from a sustainability viewpoint, that's not great. I use it a few hours a day, and to avoid disappointment, I charge it twice a week. One other small downside -- the band that goes behind your neck means you can't really rest your head on a seatback or pillow. This is my third purchase of this style of Shokz. I wouldn't be without it, even with the shortcomings.

Very Good - Listen without being isolated
These are great for use on dog walks and around the house. Easy to use and comfortable to wear for long periods. I like the fact that they you are not cut-off from what is happening around you.The one touch button is good for pausing and skipping forward (one and two clicks). Less reliable to get three clicks to go back.I was using Apple Airpods with very good noise cancelling, but after a year or so I find they make my ears wax up. The Shokz are a great replacement for 90% of what I need headphones for. I'd only want noise cancelling for air travel, etc
