This worked and fit perfectly in my 2015 Prius. I followed instructions I found on YouTube. I'm guessing replacing this water pump saved me $1500. I'm also not super mechanical and I found this relatively easy to do. It took me a few hours. If you know what your doing and have experience, it will take you an hour. I made this repair about a month ago and have had zero problems. Great Price as well.

It's a fake Aisin Toyota water pump. Plastic housing should be a light grey not black. Water pump has Aisin and Toyota on it. Watch the episode of The Car Care Nut about this exact water pump. It has all the tell tail signs of a fake Toyota Aisin water pump. My water pump came in a zip lock bag and the gasket was already installed. OEM one should be wrapped in paper and the rubber gasket comes separately in a sealed plastic bag.

This is the OEM pump installed on Prius(es) in the US at least. If you have one of these OEM ones (also made by AISIN) in your car - be afraid! In fact you will notice the TOYOTA name is sanded off on the one you will get. Replace it with an AISIN at 100K miles. After 100k or even sooner sometimes (if you neglect coolant changes) most of them go bad, they don’t have weep holes, they do not make any symptomatic sounds - see photos of the original on after 180k miles. The magnetic base of the impeller just cracks (just like in the photos), starts rubbing on the internal wall of the pump. If you are lukey - it will still circulate enough coolant for a while, if not - it will just drag and reduce coolant circulation to the point when the engine overheats and blows the head gasket, coolant flows into the cylinder, the rod goes through the engine block wall - you will not know what hit you. You can always replace just the impeller since the pump itself is just an electronic block and has no moving parts – just do a search on Amazon and you will find a bunch of them – wondering why that is that so many are offering them? Now You too know the rest of the story.

A true OEM replacement. Original part lasted 205,000 miles. Great price as compared to Auto store. Replaced in a 2013 ToyotaPrius

This fixed my issue with my 2015 Toyota Prius V. Codes came up with cooling issues. Just be aware there are two electric water pumps. One for the engine and one for the hybrid system. A quick test to see if the hybrid system is working is by going to the left driver side in the engine bay. Open that coolant cap and see if the coolant inside is moving. If it is, then that pump is good. My engine pump after removal was all seized up. Great price compared to the Toyota part, which is legit just this Aisin part.
