Great device!
Had multiple issues with the unit (and HomeBase combo), initially. Multiple calls into their Tech Support. Excellent, patient Support. No hesitation, whatsoever, promptly shipping me new, replacement unit(s). The cam and HomeBase units were, not, however, at fault. Initial problem (though figured out/solved by me, not Tech Support) was because of my Wi-Fi unit. This device will NOT work with combined 2.4/5 Ghz (and/or 6 Ghz) Wi-Fi nodes. Which, actually, the Support guy SHOULD have known. It REQUIRES separating the Wi-Fi 2.4 Ghz node off into it's own, separate entity. My old Wi-Fi (off a 15 yr old CenturyLink dual-band modem/router/Wi-Fi unit) could not do this. So, I invested in a new, LinkSys tri-band unit; that could. Problem solved. THAT one, anyway The UI can be a bit arcane, in places; as far as finding the appropriate screens. In my case, the screen to configure exclusionary zones. Inclusive zones for motion detection was easy; the other quite difficult to ferret out. Unfortunately, by this time, my Support Tech had also apparently gotten a bit tired of all the calls, and had finally lost the patience to pay adequate attention, so as to ferret out the nature of the actual, remaining difficulty (my locating/understanding how to configure the motion detection exclusion zones). By patiently digging into every durned nook & cranny of the software... I finally located the correct, though obscure screen to accomplish/satisfy my need. Since, then... excellent, flawless operation. About the only thing I can complain about... is the audio. I can p/u audio fine, but the minuscule speaker module in the unit is inadequate for quality, 2-way comm with the person at the cam. Especially with the high background noise floor of the on-the-sidewalk-just off-the-busy-street out front of my downtown building. I plan to add a little spkr (actually, a 1.5", $10, mini-Bluetooth spkr/unit [just using the spkr & housing; not the Bluetooth]) under my cam mount, to (hopefully) resolve the issue. I'm going to open the back of the camera unit, hijack the two terminals present/meant for actuating a pre-existing doorbell, wiring/substituting them for the existing spkr, routing the wires through the wooden angle mount I configured to get me the correct angle/placement for the unusual usage scenario my particular front door configuration demanded, and mounting the new spkr just under the cam mount. Should (I hope) work. Highly Recommended.

best doorbell camera yet, and no monthly fee
I’ve had multiple models and brands of video doorbell- this is the best one yet. It detects motion only generated by people, provides fast notifications, can be tailored with multiple distance settings plus activity zones, smart person detection, and works with my existing doorbell. (There have been multiple models that did not make my existing doorbell ring). It does not suffer from detection of cars and people outside the activity zones (sidewalk next to the street) and does not have multiple “motion alerts” caused by wind moving plants around (One doorbell would announce every passing car as a motion alert). As an unexpected bonus, it detects, records, and messages “packages being dropped off”, reminds you if you forgot to pick the package up by a certain time like 8pm, and tells you when “package has been picked up” and records that event. The dual camera works well and records both views at the same time- I had another brand with this and liked it. This one you can even set the area to be scanned for packages. The unit is a bit bulky-the included angle mount cuts down a little on the mounted footprint but this is still tall, wide, and sticks out / deep. Achieving what you might consider core functionality without frustrating errors (no car in street alerts, no wind driven motion alerts like my flag, doorbell really rings) was a nice change. Doing this without storing on a cloud, without a subscription fee, without sharing with law enforcement, and making intelligent ai detection of people (sometimes) and packages (almost always) “on device” is outstanding. Love the “you forgot to collect your package” option. Sometimes it will message a person as “motion” and not specifically a “human” esp if they don’t stop, like when we go in and out of our own house. Since there are no false motion alerts due to wind etc I can trust that motion alerts are people and ignore the fact that it doesn’t label the event as a person. And you might want to adjust or turn off the loitering announcement that is on by default- I disabled the voice prompt but kept the notifications. The packaging & labeling from eufy was a bit confusing between “wired” and “battery”- the battery version I bought works wired with my old doorbell chime and is powered by that wiring. From the app it appears there is a battery being charged by the doorbell wiring. The eufy website suggests there is a wired version but at that time I didn’t see how to order that from amazon with the required homebase2 so I purchased the “add on” dual camera which meant I had to purchase homebase 2 separately. And you do need a eufy homebase for this to be setup and work, it is not optional. The “kit” version comes with a chime, not the required homebase. If you want to, you can setup the homebase 2 to ring like a doorbell chime when the doorbell button is pressed so I don’t think you would normally need the kit they sell with the chime. When updating this I see there is now a separate wired dual cam amazon listing which may be what you want- but regardless be sure to order a homebase 2.

Good Value Doorbell
Really good video doorbell for the money. Feels good to be able to check on your house. We bought other Eufy cams because of the doorbell. I also got the base station to store videos local and main reason of purchasing. The alerts are accurate and video is very clear. The motion detect settings can be a little sensitive. I really enjoy the two cameras and seeing a package with its own view. Realistic battery life for us has been about 3-4 months.

The Dual Cameras are a Game-Changer
Video doorbells seem to be what's hip these days so I figured I'd give this Eufy Dual thing a whirl. Mind you, it wasn't an arbitrary decision. I spent countless days and hours researching every brand and model in existence before I decided that, at least on paper, this is the one I felt best suited my needs. Since not all video doorbells are created equal, nor are people's needs, most reviews are going to be mixed regardless of whether it's Eufy, Ring, Blink, Google, or Arlo. They will all have their pros and cons, so it'll be up to you to decide which features are most important. Now before I get into the meat of this review, I first want to point out the features that initially attracted me to the Eufy Dual. It should come as no surprise that it's the dual camera that sold me on it. At the time of this review, no other brand has a battery operated video doorbell with dual cameras. I have no doubt that'll likely change since it's truly an outstanding feature. You see, every other video doorbell only has one camera, and depending on the brand it'll only have one aspect ratio: either 16:9 (horizontal) or 1:1 (vertical). A 16:9 ratio (like Ring doorbells) will give you a wider view of your surroundings, but it typically crops out your porch area which is dumb if you want to monitor any package deliveries. A 1:1 ratio (like Arlo doorbells) will give you a taller image that includes your door area, but may crop out any shenanigans going on in the periphery. The Eufy dual cam doorbell gives you the best of both worlds by giving you a primary 2K camera at 16:9 resolution, and a second camera (1080p) that let's you observe the immediate surrounding area by your door. This is particularly useful for monitoring package deliveries or cats that are patiently waiting to be let inside. In any event, the Eufy dual camera doorbell is one of the, if not THE best doorbells for keeping an eye on your package deliveries. Especially if you live in a place where deliveries are left at both your door and sometimes off to the side (depending on the delivery person's mood). Another doorbell may not be able to look at all possible delivery locations around your porch the way that this one can. The other attractive feature about this doorbell, or any of Eufy's doorbells, is the local storage option. Don't let the cheaper price of other doorbells fool you. Most brands require a monthly subscription fee in order to store your video clips into their cloud service. At $3 a month you'll be paying an extra $36 a year. Those services also tend to automatically delete your videos after a period of time. This doorbell comes with a Eufy HomeBase that has 15GB of local storage for FREE. No subscription required. That's enough to store roughly a year's worth of recorded events and they won't automatically disappear. Okay, now for the actual review of this thing. I already knew that this wasn't going to be a perfect doorbell, but I familiarized myself with its drawbacks before I purchased it. None of its shortcomings came as a surprise. The first thing to understand is that many of its features are still in beta testing, so the app is super buggy. Not to a point where it's unusable, but it's far from flawless. For example, the facial recognition feature just doesn't work. I mean, you can set it up in the app just fine but it has NEVER recognized me or my husband. The package detection feature is also not great. Yes, it detects packages but it also thinks EVERYTHING is a package including cats and trash bags. I had to turn that feature off because it would record false package events too often. Personally, however, I wouldn't let that be a deterrent because with time and patience Eufy will eventually smooth out the kinks (that's the assumption anyway). The point is, the features under development will be worth the fix wait and the minor hassle. I can survive without these bonus features to be honest. The most important thing I need it to do is detect humans on my porch and record the event, but also function as a doorbell. It does these things just fine, and in fact, it does it very well. Package detection is not essential since I can literally open up the Live View any time to monitor packages myself. Plus I can just go review the recorded events to see who was at my door. Live View also gives you the option to record clips and take screenshots in real time which is excellent. It'll download them straight to your phone's storage. So the most important features DO work. Still, I wish they would have figured out a fix for the extra features before releasing this doorbell into the wild since they're marketing them as a selling point. Setting it up was easy, but as I said, it can be a bit buggy. The HomeBase was a cinch to set up, but the doorbell itself took a few tries before it would actually connect to my WiFi. Mounting the bracket to my door frame was also easy, especially with the included template. I have it screwed into wood so it's nice and secure. I also appreciate that they included an optional angled bracket. The slight angle allows you to see a little more of your doorstep, and since I mounted it in a somewhat recessed area it has a better field of view. The doorbell itself locks into the bracket and can only be removed with the included pin-key. It looks like a guitar pick with a pin and it's small so don't lose it! One thing I really don't like is that the battery is built in, so when it needs recharging you have to charge the whole doorbell which means taking it down which means no doorbell for about 6 hours. But it's a sacrifice I was willing to make considering the features I really like about it. You can monitor its battery life from the app, so you can begin planning ahead of time for recharging. I typically wait until the evening and then by the time I go to bed I put it back outside. Speaking of battery life, it's not really possible to give a fair assessment on that. It's going to depend on the settings you chose and the frequency of events. Using the "Live View" feature often will also drain your battery faster. Your battery mileage will vary but with frequent use should last at least two weeks. Minimal use around a month, or even two months of you have it set to doorbell only without video or motion detection. I have mine set to "optimal surveillance" and on average I capture around 5 events a day. The battery lasts about a month for me. Lastly, yes, sometimes it does really dumb things like record us every time we leave the house or it thinks my cat is a package delivery. Technology can be like that sometimes and its AI isn't perfect. It can't recognize the back of my head or understand that I'm exiting instead of entering. After all, the camera is pointed by my door. But for me, I would much rather put up with the annoyance of this thing recording me or my husband every time we go out the door than for it to not detect events at all. To me it's a positive sign that it's at least doing its job. It has never failed to detect humans on my porch whether it's me or a delivery person. In sum, get the Eufy dual cam doorbell if it's going to be your only surveillance camera since it has the widest coverage. And if you want a wide visual area but also the ability to monitor packages at your door. You must also be willing to put up with a somewhat glitchy app that hopefully in time will improve. For me the benefits of this doorbell outweigh its flaws, so I still highly recommend it. But if you care more about perfected apps and UI, replaceable batteries, pre-roll footage, and zero two-way talk delays, and don't care about subscription fees, then you might be happier with another brand.

Buggy Eufy doorbell the battery software fails charging every few months
Disappointed with this doorbell. When it works fine it would charge the battery fine and everything is like a dream. However, there is a bug with this doorbell. The doorbell should not charge all of sudden, and the fix per Eufy is to remove the doorbell from the app and re-add it to the eufy phone app and setup everything again. This means pulling out the doorbell from the outside wall and scanning the barcode to re-add back to eufy app. Already the 6th time doing this procedure and it is getting tiring. This doorbell can't operate without a homebase. If the homebase crashes, the doorbell is useless also. Eufy makes great cameras but missed the mark on this doorbell. Not sure if it's the only model having issues or what but it's not useful to re-setup each time it wouldn't charge the battery on the doorbell. Eufy hasn't fix this software bug even when I opened the case with them. Only thing good about it is that it looks nice in black and video recording is good when everything works but it's really a high maintenance doorbell. The wifi is great but not the fastest but not durable is in not crashing. I will likely want to find another replacement given it's terrible flaw. Not recommended until if Eufy would fix the issue.

Very Intelligent Product
This is a very impressive doorbell camera. I purchased this Eufy Security Doorbell Camera when my Wemo doorbell camera just stopped working after a year ☹️. However, I like my new Eufy soooo much better. The Eufy notifies my phone when it detects movement and it is excellent at distinguishing between a delivery, a person waiting for me to answer the door or just movement and pushes a notification to my phone telling me which of these scenarios it has detected. This is very useful because I can open the app and speak to someone waiting at the door but can ignore other notifications until it is convenient to look at them. The second camera that is angled down keeps any eye on my packages until I can collect them, the old Wemo could not see any packages after they were placed on the steps. The Eufy was extremely easy to install - it literally took me 5 minutes - and it comes with an optional wedge to help you angle the camera if your old doorbell is off to the side of your door like mine. The Eufy app is ridiculously easy to use and stores your videos for free - no paying for a subscription 👏!!! It will also work flawlessly with Apple’s Home app. While I hardwired my camera, I have two Eufy cameras that run on rechargeable batteries and I have been very impressed with the battery life and performance in extreme temperatures so I am confident that the battery on this doorbell camera would be equally impressive. Overall, I am really impressed with Eufy products and feel that this company is the gold standard in home surveillance. If you need to mount your doorbell on vinyl siding this little mounting block is useful: https://www.amazon.com/Siding-Mounting-Blocks-130110006002-Octagon/dp/B0BWDQ217C/ref=sr_1_9?crid=2II7VVBLX8B7U&keywords=siding+plate+for+light+fixture&qid=1694455918&sprefix=Siding+pla%2Caps%2C114&sr=8-9

Crystal Clear Video & No Monthly Fees – A Must-Have!
I’ve been using the eufy S330 video doorbell since June, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. The 2K video quality is fantastic—crisp, detailed, and reliable day or night. I love that it offers dual motion detection and package recognition, which cuts down on unnecessary alerts while making sure I never miss a delivery. One of the biggest selling points for me was no monthly subscription fees. Everything is stored locally and secure, and I still get all the smart features you’d expect from a top-tier doorbell. Setup was simple and the battery life has been excellent—I’ve only had to charge it once since installing it. The facial recognition feature is surprisingly accurate and helps easily distinguish family members from visitors. If you’re looking for a smart doorbell with premium features without recurring costs, this one is a no-brainer. Highly recommend!

Great!
Ok, we have the wired version of this (you can also wire this one in, if you wish) but this one I got for my mom after my dad passed away from cancer. She didn't have a doorbell and sometimes some neighbor kids would do pranks, and also my parent's catalytic converter got stolen off of their vehicles a while back. It was very stressful. (Ours did too, and we had to stay in town a few extra days to get one installed so that we could drive home.) While the doorbell won't prevent crime, it is very helpful to police officers. It is also a nice deterrent having this because when criminals see a ramp at an older person's house, they think easy target. This makes them a less easy target. I'm able to check on things for her, as are my brothers that live a very short distance away from her. It gives her peace of mind, and I was able to fulfill the promise to my dad ( even if I couldn't get it done before he passed away like he had hoped). We installed one of these on our home after trying 3 others, this is the ONLY one I would recommend (this one or the wired version, both are excellent). The thing to keep in mind with this unit if you utilized the battery (and don't wire it in) is you will need to charge it every 30-90 days, depending on how you use it. When you stream the video, you use that battery. When motion is detected, it uses the battery. The sensitivity level, will use more or less battery accordingly. Now, with 5 people at the time using the doorbell, it was going to be charge roughly in about 30-32 days. But now the way we have it set up, even with high sensitivity, and the newness has worn off for my brothers (lol) we only access it ourselves as needed, and the battery is easily lasting closer to the 90 days mark. I haven't checked to see if it lasted longer, but mom is charging it then anyways. The recent updates have also helped with false notifications like "your package was picked up" or "you have a package" when neither case was true. So if you read other reviews, this is fixed. The only false notifications is during really heavy busy storms, and even then it is rare. I also have a palm tree at my door so it looks like someone is running across the porch when there isn't anyone, so I do no blame the app at all. I'd rather be notified for the bad storm if I'm away anyway, so I can have someone check on my place when it passes. So I can't give this any higher praise. We own a lot of eufy products and they are all great quality. They are also related to ANKR, and we have been using ANKR for over a decade both personally and professionally. They have a great support team too. Neither of us have needed to use support for the doorbells or in the last few years, but they have a proven track record. REMEMBER, be NICE. Kindness goes a long way. No matter how frustrated you are, the person on the other end did NOT do anything to you. They are there to help you. Treat them like your bestie that helps you out on things and you will get to see their stellar support in action. Or not because they have an excellent line of products and they WORK. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. High quality. Why are you still reading this? "Purchase now".
