Very nice.
Quality ceramic, love the color. Note this is small as advertised by the vendor. Works perfect for a coffee cup, note a coffee mug.

Great coffee dripper
Using for about 2 years now, absolutely love it. It rinses easily and goes into dishwasher whenever there's rack space. I love the simplicity of dripper+filter+mug coffee maker. The color choices are nice, especially the antique green and the coffee brown (ahhh, 70s). This was my first coffee dripper and I came back to buy a second backup one, in case the first one ever breaks. Some people have mentioned they're too fragile. I'm very careful with mine, but did knock the upper rim against a mug one time in the dishwasher. No damage. I don't place this casually in sink or anywhere it might be damaged. Some people mentioned they're not sized good to fit standard cups. For some cups, you might not be able to center the dripper on top as desired. You may have to scoot the dripper over to the side of the cup instead, which can make things more wobbly if you're not careful. I do wish they'd change the base for more flexibility, but it's workable.Due to the cup size matter and fragility others mentioned, I don't prep this coffee dripper above my cup. Here's what I do instead...1 - Start the water boiling.2 - Lay out a folded papertowel on the counter.3 - Place dripper onto folded papertowel on the counter.4 - Add paper filter while dripper still on papertowel on counter.5 - Rinse filter in dripper at sink, return it to papertowel on counter.6 - Add coffee grinds, shake it gently to level. Dripper still on papertowel.7 - Wait for boil.8 - When water's ready, place kettle next to cup, so everything's right there available.9 - Place the dripper onto the cup and stabilize it. Don't leave unattended once on cup.10 - Start the pour.11 - When finished, place the dripper back onto folder papertowel to catch drips.Essentially, avoid prepping or leaving the dripper unattended while it's on top of the cup. If you do that, the most risk will be washing, if you bang it against the sink faucet or other dishes.

Excellent coffee
This thing is great. 1, Its made in Japan. 2, Its not plastic so zero plastic leaching into your brew. 3, It's easy to clean and maintain. Its better to brew coffee at home than to get your coffee from plastic-coated paper cup shops or plastic k-cup machines.

Nice looking and well made
I purchased the greenish ceramic beehouse and happy with my purchase, it's slightly less of a hassle to make coffee in this device because it only has 2 small holes and not one large one where you need to be careful pouring in water. I generally start pouring in a small amount to wet the grounds then dump in the rest and wait for it to drain. Makes a smooth tasting cup of coffee with the right temp (190-200 degrees) Also the #4 size filter stick up beyond the top of the device somewhat, the #2 may actually fit better but I haven't tried it yet.One negative thing I will say is cup size is critical, make sure your cup will fit the beehouse. Imo this device feels a little slippery due to the smallish handle and when it's hot you increase your chances of dropping it. I wanted ceramic but also know that dropping it means breakage for sure, it needs a rubber sleeve or something on the handle.

Best purchase!
I am so happy with my new ceramic coffee dripper! It's beautifully hand crafted and functionally perfect. Having read previous reviews, I have to disagree with some of the comments. It's very stable and sits on my cup without any problems. This dripper is better than my stainless steel french press which I left behind at my mom's house, so I didn't have to keep take it with me every time I visited. Thank you ZERO Japan for this wonderful coffee dripper! I will buy again - my only worry is that I might break it because of my own clumsiness. Otherwise, it's very sturdy and beautifully designed.

Great fit and finish for smaller sized mugs.
Fits smaller sized cafe-style mugs very well, and fits #2 cone filters perfectly when you fold along the crimped seal (as the filter instructions usually suggest to prevent blowouts). The base is a little too small to comfortably sit on top of an oversized mug though.Very nice looking finish, zero flaws in the pottery glaze that I can find.Love that you can look through the holes at the base of the dripper to see how much coffee you've brewed into the mug.The handle is a little small, and can be slippery. I usually hold the dripper around the cone itself rather than the handle. It feels more secure that way.

Perfect Gift
Purchased this as a gift for a friend. Great value for the price. I almost purchased another for myself after wrapping it.

Hazardous product
Love the green color and the fact that it's lead and cadmium free. Wanted to love it completely, but it's advertised at fitting on cups as large as 3.75" which is the exact measurement of my coffee mugs. It does fit, but it's quite the balancing act. I'm afraid to let go of the handle because it is on the verge of falling into the mug. There's little lips on the bottom edge of the dripper that should go over the sides of the mug to help stabilize it, but on the 3.75" mug only one of them fits over the edge, so one end could easily slip off the rim of the mug and fall in with the slightest movement. I would like to return, but it took forever to get here from Japan as it is, and I haven't found a better lead/cadmium free dripper, so I guess I'll keep it, maybe get thinner mugs. :(Update: going to attempt to return this now. It has tipped several times and the latest time it sent hot coffee grounds and water flying around the kitchen and burnt my hand. Tired to trying to get it to balance just perfectly so this doesn't happen. Too much trouble and dangerous.

Beautiful but...
Beautifully made coffee dripper although the oval shaped base is not very stable on most cups. I think a round base would be better proportioned and provide more support for the larger cone shaped top.

Beautiful artisan quality
I purchased this as a christmas gift for my partner who prefers to make his coffee pour over style. This is a great coffee dripper because it doesn't get clogged like the steel mesh kind. You just need to use a coffee filter with these either paper or cloth! The colour is exactly as described and suits our kitchen decor. I often leave it out on the counter on display since we use it everyday and it still works well!
