Impressive and good-looking
I bought the Bose SoundLink Revolve Bluetooth Speaker because I thought I ‘needed’ an acoustical and esthetic improvement over the forty-dollar black brick I used for streaming audio from my Android phone at different places in my home or when visiting friends. My primary stereo system is stationary. – I considered a few options and picked the Bose Resolve based on name recognition and looks – in silver grey, or “lux gray” in Bose terminology..I listen primarily to classical music, chamber and orchestra. However, with the Bose Revolve I have sampled other genres such as blue grass, rock, Latin, Jazz (vocal & small group and big band), acoustic guitar. I am impressed with the sound quality, the clarity – at pretty much the entire audible frequency spectrum (of an older guy). The other impressive feature to me is the relatively deep bass tones. And all this from a small down-firing single full-range driver/speaker assisted by “two passive bass radiators”. I am quoting from a review I found on the Internet.I use the single Revolve on my desk or another piece of furniture nearby at a distance between 4 to 9 feet. I feel setting it on a sturdy wooden plate such as a desk or counter top enhances the volume of the sound. The perceived sound quality is still very good, and loud enough, when placed about 36 to 50 feet away, provided there is no ambient noise. Placing it about two to three feet from a corner gives me the best sound. The speaker volume setting and other functions can be controlled from a Bose app via Bluetooth from a smartphone. Some write-ups and ads imply it produces a stereo or ‘surround’ sound. This is not correct. One speaker = mono. I am tempted to get another Revolve for true two-channel stereo performance. BUT I already have a good stereo system with wired speakers…I stream audio from different sources, mostly from a Samsung Galaxy (Android) phone (I keep older phones for streaming audio and video.) either directly to the Bose or paired with the Amazon second generation Echo Dot system.Battery performance has been excellent.Difference between Revolve and Revolve plus speakers:I was interested in the larger Revolve plus, thinking it had better speaker performance. I wanted to cut off the carrying cord for esthetic reasons.Bose Technical Support stated the performance of the Revolve (that comes without the carrying cord) equals that of the Revolve plus. Quote from a Bose email: “I would not suggest for you to remove that carrying handle as it will be considered as damaged cosmetic which will automatically void the warranty for the speaker. You can consider getting the Soundlink Revolve instead since there is actually no difference in the sound power and quality. One big difference between the two is the longevity of the playing time once fully charged aside from its size. . . .”I hope this little review is helpful.

I actually like this product
I actually like this product. The sound is amazing for such a small bluetooth speaker. However, about a month after I bought it, the speaker couldn't get charged. I contacted Bose and sent it back for repairing. This week I got it back, and it was working as brand new. But, today it won't charge again! It's been like 5 days since I got it back!.. Maybe this defect is rare. I have another Bose headphone and it's been working well for 2 years. I really like the design and innovations of Bose products. But this time I'm done with it and I'm returning it.btw, the Amazon service is really helping and considerate.

Count on the battery failing just after the return window.
Currently waiting for two weeks to receive a replacement speaker. Like so many (60-90 in the reviews) people on Amazon who purchased the Bose Soundlink, mine failed to charge or turn on after a few short months. Don't know why, but I do know that in spite of this extremely common software, Bose won't send a replacement - you have to send yours in, wait for it to arrive at Bose - they say 10-12 days -and be verified as non functional. Then they will send out a replacement. Don't know how long that will take. The Bose rep verified that to me on the phone that it would not turn on. He then asked me if I had updated the firmware. This was difficult to do, and the speaker would not work. Oh well. With any luck, the replacement will last as long as the inexpensive ones I've purchased. Time will tell!

Charging not right
Currently writing this review whilst listening to my Bose mini soundlink (purchased 2013). Got the revolver today—no AC adapter, charges with an android cable. That being said, when it’s on low battery, it won’t play music even when the charger is plugged in. I’m sickened I have to go through the return process. This is not what I’ve come to expect from Bose. If you can’t play music when it’s on low battery even while plugged in, what’s the point?! My old speaker does this with no problem!! Might consider ordering a bose mini soundlink II. Super disappointed.

Continually loses connection or makes a poor connection
We purchased the Bose for use in our tiny apartment as well as on the road in our camper van. The sound is fantastic, great mid-range and bass as well of course as the high range. Really, it's a great speaker. BUT . . . This thing can't stay connected to our iPhone XS, our MacBook Pros or our iPad, via Bluetooth. We've tried everything, updating the drivers, forgetting the devices and rebooting the devices and speaker, every which way. Having used Macs and Apple products since the 1980s, I have a fairly sanguine attitude toward dropped connections and other burps and hiccups in the tech. However, my blood boils when I can't play a tune on the Bose. I think that it's because it was so expensive and the simple act of maintaining a connection should be a piece of cake. This week, after a year or so, of owning the Revolve speaker, I was tempted to toss it in the garbage. Seriously, I might be developing Bose rage. I'm pretty sure I'll never buy another Bose product.

From 5 star to 2 star after a software update... I would return it if I could!
I am quite impressed by the quality of the sound, especially the base compared to other makes. BUT they updated the software and the thing never shuts up! Even when you put it on mute mode, it beeps. If the sound emitting device (laptop, phone, pad) is not sending signals, it beeps or talks saying it is connected. Next, there is not way to turn it totally off! It looks like it is off, but as soon as you turn on a device or the Bluetooth, it turns itself on and talks again, "connected to devicex, devicey" etc. Also noticed that connections stayed "stuck" on a given device when more than one device was paired, and that you had to "reboot" the thing... VERY ANNOYING....

Primer compra Bose y ultima
