Bought for a series s compatibility was great, It connected instantly when I put batteries in the remote. Hit the power button and it turned my Xbox immediately on. The real Test was my wife. She couldn’t figure out a controller. Instead of questions and a small how to. She now can do it on her own. 10/10 recommend for easy setup and the headache relief. Feels great in your hand. Size is not to big or small. And for the price you can beat it. The durability worries me because I drop everything. I can see the illumination through it. So hopefully it’s durable enough that I break it on the first drop. After forgetting it’s on my lap. Lol love that I can pick the sticker of the Xbox symbol. I used the black one because that’s my style.

Works well. Doesn't draw much power, so batteries will last a while. Just point and use, on any Xbox, no setup or connection required. Tested and works on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One S. The illuminated buttons on motion is a great touch.

So, got tired of using my controller as a remote. Had given my other media remote to my aunt to use with her XBox X. (She's in her 70's and plays more video games than I do.) Pro: Great Price Worked straight out of the box. Does everything I need. Lights up like the official media remote. Con: Stated it would lock the battery cover in place and it did, so much so that I couldn't open the back panel. When I finally did get the battery cover open after 2 days of trying, lock broke off. Right back where I started with having to tape the cover closed. At the end of the day I like the remote, don't like the locking mechanism, but for the price you just have to expect some problems. A solid 4 stars.

We use our Xbox for both gaming and watching movies and shows. Using the Xbox controller made us burn through batteries quicker than we should - plus my wife didn’t find the controller intuitive. So I bought this and it works great. My wife can use it and it doesn’t eat batteries like the controller all this for a nice price!

Works instantly and is very responsive. I have found that the reviews of buttons not being responsive they don't mention a key factor. For best response point it directly at the Xbox. This worked about 30ft from the Xbox and is a godsend for all the streaming apps we use which beats having to wake up a controller to skip or manipulate media. The Xbox button does need the sticker applied which the stickers included come in both white and black variant so you can choose what you need. It is lightweight and is plastic as with any tv remote. Overall good value remote compared to others and does exactly what is needed and was able to control the volume without any setup. Easily fits in the palm of my hand. simple use just put batteries in and go. the battery life I can't determine yet but that may be dependent on the brands of batteries you use.

This remote is sleek and feels good in your hand. The buttons have a pretty good layout and I like the motion sense light up buttons. It works out of the box with my Xbox Series X just fine. It is really nice because I can turn on the Xbox, my TV and my Bose soundbar with one press of the Xbox button on the remote. The volume buttons also control my soundbar. When I turn off the Xbox with the remote it turns of the soundbar and TV as well, so I don't need to use any other remotes. I believe this is all possible due to the ARC features through the HDMI cables and not something specific to the remote, but I'm very happy it all works this way. My complaint is the buttons. They have a bit of a squishy feel but still have a "click" to them under the squish, which I think is just fine. The problem is the button presses are not registering consistently. You will press a button and feel the click but it doesn't do anything. You might hit the button 5-6 times before it registers the button press. Sometimes it works on the first click, but other times it's 3 presses, 5 presses, etc. Sometimes you are clicking and keep pressing the button and nothing happens but then all of a sudden it registers 3 button presses and now you have to navigate back. It is so frustrating because it is literally the main purpose of the remote, to press buttons to navigate screens. So when it works so inconsistently it just drives you crazy. I'm keeping the remote and just dealing with the frustration because for as bad as it is I still like it better than the Xbox Controller for media.

Because of its small size, it can be held in the palm of my hand without any discomfort, and the arrangement of its buttons has been thoughtfully considered, which enables me to go among its many features with relative ease. During strenuous gaming sessions, the rubberized texture on the back provides an additional level of grip, which helps to minimize unintentional slides. Not only does the color black go well with the rest of my console's design, but it also lends it an air of refined sophistication. Now that I have this remote, I have complete command over all of the programs I use for media and leisure. The remote makes it easy to navigate via the Xbox interface, allowing me to access all of my preferred music applications in addition to streaming sites such as Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube. Because the buttons are so responsive, I can quickly navigate and utilize the play/pause capability without having to reach for the controller. This makes it possible for me to transition between gaming and entertainment without having to do so. It is impossible to stress how helpful it is to have individual buttons for each of the most important tasks. The OneGuide button, in particular, has quickly become my favorite since it gives me rapid access to my TV listings as well as the channels I subscribe to, giving me the impression that I am holding a whole entertainment center in the palm of my hand. In addition, pressing Back and View simultaneously enables seamless multitasking, which improves the overall effectiveness of both my gaming and video consumption experiences.
