Gets warm during use but it does the job.

Compact light great alternative to the cabled version.
I have owned the previouse version which used a cable however after 5 years the cable contact from packin g and unpacking is loose intermitent. I opted for the non cabled version and happy with its form factor.

Compact and simple great variety of connectors very minimalistic a great all round solution.

Packed up within 6 month
What a load of garbage! I bought this thing in January, and it already can't even read an SD card after just 6 months? And to top it off, customer service is useless with their lackluster response. What a waste of time and money!

Très bon adaptateur/hub, complet et au design très réussi, mais prix un peu trop élevé
L'adaptateur/hub est un produit avec un design franchement réussi. Il est très complet, avec un nombre suffisant de ports : leur variété permet à l'adaptateur/hub de répondre à tous les besoins, entre carte SD, TV... Et l'alu brossé est du plus bel effet ! Seul le prix, un peu trop élevé, fait baisser d'une étoile la note.

Runs hot, drains power
The Satechi hub sounds good on paper, but I think it's better to explore dongles. This seems to be for portable people, but the hub is distinctly immobilising. Good: Seems like high speed, high quality materials and specs. Bad: Runs hot even with nothing plugged in Zaps power Sharp edges Slightly too high to sit flush. Overall, I wouldn't use this if you want to carry your macbook around. And if you want to stay docked, you can just use a dongle.
