A well long-time operating pump!
I bought this pump in May, 2016. It has worked steadily every spring - fall season since. I have it hooked up to a 30 inch tall "vase" where it pumps the water from the tub below up through the top of the vase. If the water flow slows down because of a blockage, I just unplug it long enough for the water to backwash through the pump and then I plug it in again. Sometimes, depending on how stubborn the build up is, I have to unplug it a second time. That usually allows it to start and work really well again. I do take it apart and clean it out each spring before running it. I highly recommend this energizer bunny of a pump.

Works great here as well
I got this product last year (2015) and another one this Feb (2016). Both were the 396GPH models. The first one was purchased in 2015 for use in a large 500 gallon pond for aeration and a little bit for aesthetics but mostly to keep the water clean and free of bugs. We run it about 4 hours every evening from 5-9pm and sometimes a lot longer in the weekends. The second one runs a small nft system running water through 1/2" sprinkler hose with branch 1/4 inch drip irrigation lines. Works great here as well, this unit runs 30 min every hour and has held up well so far. Both units came with three-.75" Barbed x .75" Threaded two-.5" Barbed x .75" Threaded Nozzle x .75" Threaded Pre-wired 69 inch 120v power cord Unit contains a removable reusable and cleanable filter. Pros Very quiet, so quiet in fact that you may not even hear it running even close by. Very efficient, I checked with my kill-a-watt meter and it says it uses only 13 watts or so most of the time it is running. Pump can lift almost 6 ft (linear) with a 1/2" tube without any kinks or bends. The unit works best when it lifts no more than 5 feet from the bottom of the pump Very tolerant pump, I even ran it off a 30 watt solar panel with a small 100 watt inverter. No problems here either. Cons Water volume goes down almost exponentially with height Not the cheapest pump Outdoor usage where pump sees constant sunlight can make the shell somewhat brittle

... and send the broken one back which was really awesome of Tevin the amazon representative as it was a ...
I am giving this product a 5 star because it really does do what it says or has so far I did receive this item damaged called amazon and am now awaiting the replacement no big deal items are not treated carefully 100% of the time during shipping no matter where you buy from I was told due to needing this pump today as my piranhas had to get to their new tank I could use the broken pump until I receive the new one and send the broken one back which was really awesome of Tevin the amazon representative as it was a corner piece that holds the suction cup on so I have used this product and it does put out the power it says I used the 1/2 inch intake barbed to a 1/2 to a 3/4 output and it shoots between 2 and 3 feet in the air which is more then perfect for the under gravel jet system of the new tank again yes it was broken I do not think on purpose from the factory as things do happen but again called amazon the second I saw it and the situtation was solved in less then 5 minutes a better option then ranting and raving on here that it was a piece of junk as others have done and another thing to know is that no matter how good the product there are mistakes look at the car recalls does that make Honda or ford crap? No just mistakes that the company 9 out of 10 times fixes so as for right now the pump is great waiting to acclamate the fish and put em in and I will update when the new pump arrives as to its condition and how it works and periodically about the on going performance

Good pump at a good price.
After much research at big box retailers and here on Amazon, I decided to purchase this pump for my outdoor fountain, about two weeks ago. As compared to the pump this one is replacing, it seems a bit less powerful, however, I've reconfigured my fountain a bit and the plastic tubing I use recedes further back from the opening of the wine bottle being used as the "spout" for my fountain. Therefore, the water doesn't propel directly out; it trickles a bit more, which is actually a bit nicer sounding that when it launches out of the bottle. I had to replace this pump after a week, because it did lose power over the course of its first few days, then ultimately stopped working, however the seller was awesome and sent me a replacement in just a couple of days. The second one works just as well as the fist one did, initially, and is still working well today. The pump sits at the bottom of a 1/2 wine barrel (about 30 gallons of water) and it pumps the water out of copper tubing about a foot and up a second 1/2 wine barrel, where the tubing comes out of wine bottle. So, all in all, it's lift is about 2 feet. It's not a fountain spray because it's coming out of a bottle, but it seems to be steady. I did hook this up with a diverter, so I could have both the wine bottle and fountain spray and it did just fine. I'm in a very windy location and I don't think I'll keep this setup. I'll stay with the bottle. All in all, I'm pleased. I'll update later, as time goes on, with it's reliability over a longer period of time. I do recommend the pump. It's a great price and the exchange from the seller was awesome!

Great For Cooling CNC Spindle Motors And Laser Tubes
I'm using this pump to circulate RV antifreeze to cool a water cooled high speed spindle on my CNC router, and it has been reliable and quiet so far. It's a good value, and it's reasonably easy to add a connector to adapt the output to 8mm OD tubing. Even with the output restricted in this manner, the little pump still circulates plenty of coolant for this application and there is certainly no problem keeping the pump cool. When cooling spindle motors or laser tubes for CNC applications, it's counter productive to oversize the pump. If you do, and you are using a simple five gallon tank of coolant as a heat sink for intermittent use, you can design a system where you have less run time because much of the heat capacity is used to cool the pump. Of course, if you have a radiator and fan, you should be able to run continuously. Pay careful attention to the static pressure (aka "head pressure"), often measured in feet. If your pump is near the floor and the gantry mounted spindle motor is several feet above, you may have little or no flow with some of these small pumps. I recommend at least three feet more head pressure than you measure, because you'll have friction losses in the tubing, etc.

Finally, a reliable pump at a reasonable price!
This pump is amazing! I have a number of fountains around my yard and am always looking for reliable pumps. I don't think I need to search anymore. This pump can more than accommodate my water features. The pump can really move some water! I have bought pumps for 3 times the cost which didn't do as well. It has the oomph to work on a variety of cascading water features. This pump also comes with a number of attachments to work with any number of fountains or heads. I was amazed at how many attachments were included. Keep stocking this, Amazon! I ordered 2 of them this time and I am sure I'll be back, now that I know that this baby delivers! UPDATE: An older pump on another fountain gave out so I hooked up my extra one of these. This fountain requires the water be pumped up almost three feet, to spill over the four corners of the urn. Of course, my little EcoPlus comes with a variety of attachments so hooking it up was a breeze. Not only does it do the job for this fountain, but it far surpasses the job done by an almost $70 pump! So, what did I do? I got on Amazon and ordered another one of these incredible pumps!

397gph in a 150 gallon pond
I've had my Eco Plus 396gph pump in my 150 gallon pond for 2 weeks now, and it's working out well so far! My pond could use a good scrub, but the water is the clearest it's been this season. I initially purchased this pump to use for something else, but I ended up liking it better than the FreeSea pump I had in my pond, so I switched it. With my previous pump, I was limited. I could only hook up my waterfall, and I had 2 mesh bags for filters. With this pump, I have my waterfall hooked up, as well as a large box filter. I appreciate that this pump has a filter, but I needed something much larger, especially since I have 6 goldfish. I haven't dealt with any clogs, or any other issues, thus far. I've owned a few affordable pumps from Amazon and I definitely prefer this, and recommend the brand as a whole. (I ordered from the Warehouse and it arrived brand new, all items accounted for).

You get what you pay for and this item fails in all aspects.
This is a very weak pump that's poorly designed and manufactured. The construction is horrible. That vented area you see is held on by these inexcusably small plastic "nubs". The first time I picked up the pump out of the original box the vent popped off and the pump hit the floor. VERY FIRST TIME. I put it back on then gently pulled and popped off. When I went to put it in my reservoir, it popped off while I was sitting it in the water. That says it all. It's a poorly constructed product. Period. This will be the last EcoPlus brand product I buy. Edit: Tried using it and boy am I disappointed. It couldn't pump nutrient solution 6 feet away and 6 feet back and because of that, my water temperature got too high. I had to manually lower it. This means the pump failed in every possible way, short of at least "turning on" when plugged in. When I checked in my reservoir, the front cap and filter had fallen off. It hasn't been touched and there is no movement inside the reservoir other than air stones making bubbles on both ends while the pump stays in the middle. TL-DR: This is absolute crap. It's an underpowered, poorly developed pump made from lowest-bidder parts and aimed at making as much money as possible off YOU, the consumer.

Quality 400 GPH Pump Worth the Extra Cost
I've learned through experience that when it comes to pumps, you really do get what you pay for. This pump, while $7–$10 more expensive than other 400 GPH models, is worth every penny. It offers both inline options and excellent attachments, all with a noticeable level of quality. Connecting it is simple, and it works flawlessly. That said, the pump is significantly larger than comparable options (like the Vivosun 400). If space in your reservoir is at a premium, keep this in mind—it does take up a lot of room. Despite its size, I don’t see myself switching to any other pump anytime soon. I've already purchased two and couldn’t be happier with their performance.

Excelente bomba, silenciosa y con gran capacidad de movimiento. Aunque las gomas que centran las asmas con de pésima calidad. Aún así la bomba es excelente.

Quiet and superior design
The reason i'm giving five stars is because of the small filter in front of the impeller which catches dirt before the damage or clog your impeller. It's also easy to clean without removing the pump from the aquarium, i just remove the front part while leaving the pump in the aquarium, i rinse the filter and that is it. It is quieter than my previous pump but still has a small humming noise which i hear at night. I strongly recommend this because of the filter which keeps your impeller clean and your pump will last longer.
