Doheny's Harris Pro Force Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pool, 19" Tank with 1 HP Pump

Been using this for about a month now. This is my second one. The first system lasted 14 years or so. The system is very quiet. It’s performance it awesome. Takes a bit to put together. The only issue I had or have is this winter I have to take all the fittings and use pipe glue on them. I tried the tape and I have one spot that’s leaking. But hey my pool looks great and the water is crystal clear. Highly recommend if in the market for a new pool filtration system.

Received this pump without the laterals and was unable to use the filter function until customer service sent a replacement. Customer support was extremely quick and sent parts out, they arrived within a week of my initial email. Pump has been running nonstop for around 4 days now with no issue, provided that I have been backwashing filter when pressure increases (indicating a lot of dirt buildup in the tank). Only issue is that the pump has minimal suction force for air and therefore is fairly difficult to get started when no water is in system. Especially annoying considering this is an above ground pump. My solution is to run it through the waste line (least back pressure on pump) to get water into the pump, and then quickly turn off the pump, switch to filter and put back on. If that doesn't work, I switch to waste and shove a wet dry shop vaccum into the waste output and that gets all the air out and water flowing quite quickly.Overall the flow of this system is great, installation was mind-blowingly easy, and if something happens because of the manufacturing (compared to user error) customer service has got your back.

Fantastic pump and filter! Been using it for a few months now and my pool has never looked better. I did opt to use a glass media over the traditional sand type media. The original pump in the kit arrived with massive crack due to the shipping company (FailEx) clearly mishandling the box but a replacement pump was sent very fast.

Worked really well and has been installed now for @ 4 months with now issues, was almost identical to the one we replaced for considerably less $. We will be very happy if it last as long as the expensive one we replaced

really like the price and the pump. Quiet and easy to install!

I ordered this on may 23rd this year. It’s July 10th and already quit working. The motor doesn’t even have a on off switch

The good:The pump is very powerful yet also quiet. The bad:The sand filter and the base it sits on do not lock together so it can easily be slid around and doesnt seem very stable. The pressure guage has leaked since day one no matter how much tefelon tape i have put on it. I contacted harris and voiced my issue about the leak and never got a response.Horrible customer service.

Filter and Pump has been service for 2 month and doing a fantastic job. Label on top that tells you what function the handle is in is peeling up off the plastic . Needs to be attached better.
