Great bench I have had it a few years now and no complaints

This is a very solid bench. great ergonomics its adjustablility fits my body type (fat).. I had a powertec bench that came with the powertec leverage which is a very nice bench as well but just dosent feel as stable as this bench. the new powertec benches have better front feet so i imagine it wont feel like you are tipping over.the optional leg attachment holder is a few inches offset from the bench seat which is more ergonomic since the bench tends to fit me better and i dont have to adjust to the bench.the adjustments from incline to decline are simpler love it..the padding on this bench is narrower by width which allows shoulders and side contact with the bench when doing exercises. this is a plus for me. the padding is just ok (im fat) for normal size people it would be great.I dont have a reference since i sold the powertec bench. but this bench seems bigger.Instructions were adequate and easy to follow.I will have this bench for a long time its very high quality and solid. I will try a body solid cage next just because of the quality of this bench.August 2021 Bench is still going strong. Excellent Investment. This thing is going to last a life time.

Flat, Incline, Decline Bench for Home and Commercial UseI ordered a Body Solid "Flat, Incline, Decline Bench" for Home Use."The box came to my house in good condition on the outside, but when opened, I found all the pieces thrown about in the box.It was obvious that this was not a problem caused by FedEX, but was completely due to the poor packaging and lack of protection for the contents.The entire frame was scratched up and many pieces were missing.I was very disappointed in the way the manufacturer packaged this product and would not recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this bench because it is long and sturdy and I am 6’7” 260. I’ve enjoyed this bench for the last couple of years, but the leg extension is too short. I wish they made one specifically for tall people. The bottom roller hits me mid shin instead of at the ankle.

Great if you need incline, decline, and flat for a home gym. Very stable and solid (no rocking whatsoever) and comfortable padding. I had no trouble putting it together (a touch harder than putting together an Ikea piece of furniture as there are many different types of screws and bolts). Probably the most important thing that separates this from some of the other FID benches I was considering is the leg/foot holders that are essential for preventing slippage during decline dumbbell presses. Also, the space between the seat and back pad is not a problem if you lie down solely on the back pad, which it is long enough for (and I'm 6 ft). Also, the space between the seat and back pad is unavoidable, I believe, since the seat adjusts up for incline settings. The range of seat adjustment is also excellent, and things move very smoothly. The wheels are also very nice for moving the bench around between work outs. I'm just very happy with this product and can't think of anything I wish were different. Its also very attractive and professional-looking -- it does not look like a flimsy, cheap home bench that ends up in the attic or falls apart.

Build quality is great, it is very sturdy and heavy. One thing that I do not like about the design is the 5" gap between the benches. I have used other incline benches where the gap was much smaller. I would give this a 5 but the assembly instructions were terrible. First there were no instructions, just an exploded view of the assembled bench. Next, the exploded view and index of parts called out the hardware in Inch measurements but the hardware was packaged and labeled with metric measurements. Lastly, the instructions did not match the pieces that were included (there were more pieces than shown in the picture) so I had to take two sections of the bench apart after I was done to install pieces that I had left off. Overall, it was not that hard to assemble but it could have been much easier if the manufacturer had spent a little more time making some instructions that matched the hardware. I still think that this is the best bench available for the money.

I purchased this gift for my husband who absolutely loves this bench. For those of you who are on the level he is which is benching 300+ and consistent heavy dumbbell exercises, this bench will certainly benefit you. The foot rest attachment for abs are not manditory for the bench to be sturdy. He doesn't use them. He leaves it unattached but I will for abs. Very sturdy bench.This bench will need you to be a bit handy because it has some small pieces (they come in helpful packaging where each screw, washer, etc. has it's size and name next to it). It can be put together in less than an hour if you're handy.Its a nice looking bench as well as being a heavy duty one. This is our 3rd product by Body Solid and we are very satisfied.Review written on behalf of my very happy husband!

The packaging could be a bit better. When received, the box had holes in many places and many parts insides had come loose and scattered inside. Upon inspection though, most of the pieces survived intact except a knob which was found broken. Wrote an email to file a complaint and received the replacement part a week later. Not bad. It would be better to get a response after the email instead of dead silence. I was left wondering if anything at all would happen.Secondly, the assembly instruction could be a bit better. The one that came with the package is almost useless. The one that you can down load from the BodySolid. com website was way better, but still there is room for improvement. Think Ikea. All in all, after everything is put together finally, the result is a nice, solidly built machine, which seems it can last forever.
