Let me encourage you to try one of these. Please read if considering...
I was looking for an affordable tri or quad band when I ran across this. Read enough reviews to kind of knew what to expect when it arrived. I know everyones likes and dislikes, opinions, expectations and experiences are different so let me add mine as most of the complains that I read were not found or easily corrected. First let me mention what I have programed in mine. All of the 2m, 440, 220, and GMRS stations listed in repeater book for my area and surrounding counties. Also all the NOAA stations and local AM air bands. I understand the GMRS stations being there but there's now law that says I can't monitor them. As far as the programing goes, I was surprised to find that it was one of the easiest radios have ever worked with. Everyones combination is different but mine was: The radio, cable ( I did not use the provided cable although I am sure it would work. I used the "red" Wouxun cable that has never let me down), my MacBook Pro and the newest version of Chirp-Next. Super easy and worked like a charm. I copied the Freq's straight from repeater book and had it all done in about 30 mins. A second complaint was the crazy digital sound when you press the PTT. Easily turned off at menu item # 43. The big problem you hear about is how easily the screen scratches. Easy fix. Out of the box the radio comes with a loosely fitting piece of plastic covering the screen. Once removed the screen will scratch supper easy... but that's not the screen. There is a 2nd piece of plastic covering the screen that is cut exactly the size of the screen. There is no pull tab to remove it but it will come off. Start at one of the corners and lightly scratch the plastic with your fingernail. Once it peels back remove it to reveal a beautiful screen that does not scratch each time you touch it. If I were going to deduct a star it would be for the antenna which will not cover all the bands but I generally replace the antenna on almost every HT I ever buy so this one is no different. Personally I am using a Smily Tri-band which covers 2m, 440 & 220 and will also pull in the GMRS stations. NOAA and air bands are easily received as well. There are no perfect HT's. I even have a few issues with some of the expensive ones I own but if you want an affordable multi band HT I think this ones hard to beat. Sounds great and feels good in the hand and is doing everything it claimed it would do and the FM radio broadcast sound good too. I purchased mine at Amazon and also purchased a second battery for around $12. The battery showed up a day before the radio. All in all I very pleased and able to hit three 220 repeaters from my lazyboy which I can't do with one of my other expensive 220 radios. I know you want one of you wouldn't have read this. Go ahead and pull the trigger. You will be glad you did!

as a radio it works well
have never used bluetooth function. The GPS reciever only gives immediate position and has a little map function if somebody else transmits gps data so you can see where they are relative to you. havent used the second half of it but i tested the gps reciever positioning function with a map while on the trail and it was more or less accurate to the map and in reference to a real gps unit.the radio works. its a radio. nothing spectacular. all the functions youd expect nowdays in chinese radios. decent TX/RX. havent had it go def like i have with baofengs when they recieve too strong of a signal yet.if you want a good all around radio get a Radtel 470. the gps does work but its something of a gimmick.

Feature Packed Radio
The good: power packed, feature packed and easy to program both via the radio and provided software. The cable that accompanied it works great (many often do not), Good Audio on both transmit and receive, good wattage on my meter on all bands. The bad: The antenna provided is only dual band (2 meter and 70cm) okay for listening but won't help on the 1.25cm band. Tri-Band HT antennas can be found cheaply though. Would be nice if it had the USB "C" charge ability through the battery as does with the same radio of other names.I have seen noted a few times that the screen seems to scratch easily. It's not the problem described. If you look closely it has a film on the screen (not the packing film) which acts as a protector. It can be lifted off and replaced with a cell phone type film protector if one wanted. But that film is doing its job and protecting the actual screen face, it does pick up fingerprints and scuffs easily though.Overall a nice radio, quickly shipped by the seller, the Radtel website has the easy to download and use software for this radio. Other than the few issues noted it has worked great, it is impressive for the price.

Don’t buy this
The app for programming is a joke and the gps isn’t that great. It doesn’t track you it only gives you the position where you powered up.

Best airband radio Ive ever had
, just wish there was more open firmware options, and other cool little hacks to try, it sounds amazing, not sure if you heard the anytone 878 but its that type of audio quality, even from analog FM , its my 3rd favorite radio right now, first is the GD-88 then the DM-1701, and then this radio, just because im on a DMR kick, does RADTEL have a DMR radio?

Ok radio
After using the Radtel RT-490 GPS Bluetooth App Programming Tri-Band Radio, I found that it did not meet my expectations in terms of quality. While the GPS feature was accurate and the Bluetooth connectivity worked well, the build quality was not up to par, and I found it to be less durable than I had hoped. Additionally, while the app programming option was convenient, it did not make up for the overall lackluster quality of the radio. For these reasons, I cannot recommend the Radtel RT-490 GPS Bluetooth App Programming Tri-Band Radio for those seeking a reliable and durable radio.

Regular
The media could not be loaded.
