I hang these on the back of the passenger side seat of my car. The winter and humidity is so hard on vehicles in Alaska. These help keep my car fresh and moister free. I was having freezing on the inside of my windshield and these seem to really make a difference. Make sure you keep an eye on them and change them out appropriately. They will fill up in high humidity locations. Sometimes the beads that absorb the moisture clump and I just gently break them up by hand and they keep working. They have a nice smell but the moisture absorption outlasts the smell. These are also great for closet spaces! I keep one hanging in the laundry room for freshness!

I use this product all of the time. Great where there is any signs of dampness. I think a little on the high side of price but I love it. Helps keep area dry from dampness. Takes the damp smell away. I use in my basement closets and my small garage. I have never had a bag leak. The little pellets turn to water, that’s how you know it’s doing its job. When the pellets are gone and the bag is full of water I just cut a hole in the the bag and let the water drain into the toilet. It really does help prevent mold. You also have to keep the area clean as well to help prevent mold.

My closet is in my bathroom, so I purchased these to prevent mold/moisture and it does a wonderful job! It truly does absorb all over the moisture and you can see the results! The scent is not noticeable, but for me that is fine. I definitely recommend these! Great value for your money!

DampRid is one of those products I will always trust when it comes to controlling excess moisture. These hanging bags are convenient, easy to use, and do exactly what I need them to do — keep moisture out of places where water has absolutely no business being. My only reason for taking off a star is the scent. I honestly don’t smell lavender OR vanilla, so if you’re purchasing this particular version because you’re hoping for a noticeable fragrance, you may be disappointed. For moisture control, though? DampRid continues to be reliable and effective, and I’ll absolutely keep buying it.

In all honesty there wasn’t a lot of hope that this would work, but it absolutely does, it is shocking how it eliminates dampness in closets. Since moving from a dry climate to a climate with humidity being normal I never knew such a product existed or was needed. It works incredibly well, the amount of moisture it collects, removing the dampness smell is far beyond what was expected. There are applications that I never thought of in dryer climates, such as after a shower to collect the moisture in the air. Or after an abnormal amount of rain. It just quietly hangs in the closet and does the job. The size is bigger than was thought, so the capacity to gather a good amount of moisture is good and does not require changing all that often. Nice, efficient product that i will be ordering as needed.

After recently closing on a home down in Sarasota, one of the immediate challenges was dealing with the coastal humidity creeping into the closets. I wanted a passive way to protect clothes and keep the space smelling fresh without having to run an electric dehumidifier all day. Performance & Everyday Use: Effectiveness: It’s incredibly satisfying (and a bit alarming) to see how much water these pull from the air. In our master closet, it took about six weeks for the crystals in the top pouch to fully dissolve and fill the bottom bag with trapped moisture. The Scent: The Lavender Vanilla fragrance is noticeable but not overwhelming. It completely eliminated that stale, musty odor that enclosed spaces tend to get in this climate, replacing it with a clean scent. Convenience: Zero maintenance required. You literally just unwrap it, hang it on the closet rod, and forget about it. Once the bottom section is full of water, you just toss the whole thing in the trash. The Only Downside: They hang down fairly low, especially as the bottom fills with water and gets heavy. If you hang them on a rod with longer items like coats or dresses, the bulky water pouch might rest awkwardly against your clothes or drag on the shelf below. It’s best to position them alongside shorter items like button-down shirts.
