I just loved it so much. Evocative, thought provoking and so very moving. It’s not tragic, it’s full of life and hope and love.

I have enjoyed this book so much, to begin with I thought I may not but it drew me in and exposes you utter joy and sadness too. I would recommend it.

This was truly one of the very best books I’ve read-ever. It is beautifully written and I could visualise all the characters in the book. The various journeys described transported me to the locations, some of which now I simply have to either revisit or go for the 1st time. Much of the narrative I identified with myself, to the point that it was intensely personal. I cannot recommend this too highly, although I appreciate its not to everyone’s taste. If you don’t have empathy then this is not for you. For the rest of us, grab your tissues. I’m so sad to have finished the book, I may even reread it immediately. As between tears & laughter, I may have missed something!

This is up there with one of my favourite books, I just love the way it's written. It took me a little while to get into it but I am so glad I stuck with it - I couldn't wait to pick it up every night. Amazing book about love, friendship and loss. Will be reading more of her novels for sure

Loved the writing style and was so engaged in the first half - just couldn’t stop reading. Got a little laggy after that but I read to the end. I’m absolutely up for reading more from this author.

I was drawn into this story from the very beginning. Absolutely loved the characters and felt like I was there, watching the story unfold. Really beautiful ending. Will be reading more by this author.

This is a wonderful and poignant story full of short chapters that, once you start, you just have to keep reading. Reflecting real life for everyone who reads this book, this is an incredible tale about birth mothers and mother figures, and each ones different personalities, and how they and their roles influence the protagonist at different times of her life; a story that eventually comes full circle. Also a story about best friends and the impact they have on us. A book that I feel the need to reread at some point, while I also look forward to reading the other books that this author has written.
