Excellent package deal
I have checked out prices on many jewelry-making tools, and I especially needed the tools to ascertain what some of the stones in parcels actually were. On other sites, the refractometer and RI fluid alone were $249. I already had a loupe, but I was thrilled to get the Chelsea filter, the dichroscope, and the excellent book as well. The refractometer is simple enough to use once you get the hang of seeing the shadowline. I actually brought this into my class so that others could start to define some of their gemstones as well--it was a big hit! I was very pleased with this transaction for both the value and the safe and quick shipping.

I ordered this 6-piece set for my studio, Colorful Creations, LLC (Maryland), and am very happy with it. The tracking info on Amazon hadn't been updated, so I contacted IGEM Instruments regarding the shipping status. Their customer service was quick, professional, and helpful. All the equipment was packed carefully, arrived undamaged, and works well. I would recommend them to other studios based on the quality of the equipment, excellent service, and my own experience.

Disappointed
I awkward wanted a set like this to identify loose stones. I love the Chelsea filter and the dichroscope but the refractometer is what I really wanted is not working. Figured out how to put batteries in still not working. Would have 5 stars if it weren’t for that

incredible, amazing too much fun
Last year I made this purchase because I got some emeralds, and saphires so I just want to check them using tools and to improve my knoledge in gemology. after I purchase this kit, it was a complete surprise to me. I am not a US citizen, and in my country I ask almost in all jewelry stores and no one has a kit like mine. Perhaps just a few people in costa rica might have this so it was a great great purchase. Now I need a gemology stereoscope so I can began making more and more fun with this stuff. Also learn about natural and synthetic gems all its differences over the stereoscope
