Very spicy, great for when you run out of fresh peppers in cooking
I like to keep habaneros around for a couple of dishes I cook, but sometimes the store doesn't have them or I run out. I researched habanero powders, but most people say they aren't very hot. I found this; some "tough guys" say this isn't very hot either, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. It is pretty strong! It is a very fine powder; this is not like a salt or pepper, more like talc. I see people trying to sprinkle this on food as a condiment, which is fine but it is so powdery I don't think that's the best use. This is good for stirring into sauces, or beans, while cooking. It doesn't have much flavor on its own, but definitely delivers a good kick of pure heat. Combine it with a habanero sauce to make it stronger. Very good value, a little goes a long way.

4x hotter than Habanero
Ghost pepper isn't the best tasting pepper, but it also isn't bad. The closest I can get to a description is to describe other peppers. Black pepper has an earthy/Smokey flavor. Jalapeno tastes more like green vegetables with spice. Habanero has a very slight increase in fruity/acidic flavor. Habanero without spice, tastes really good. Ghost pepper's flavor profile is a mix between black pepper and jalapeno. It's not bad, just not great. It shines as a none-offensive very spicy powder. From the Sonoran's brand, their ghost pepper powder is roughly 4x hotter than their habanero powder. I like it because I like the spice. But if you are looking for great taste, then go for their habanero powder. For eggs, I really like their jalapeno powder. As far as ease of powdering, the dust will float a bit and get your nose. Sprinkle carefully. This is true for all of Sonoran's products.

It's VERY hot...
...which is exactly what I wanted. Use very sparingly and build on it.

Definitely spicy!
It’s great! Very spicy! I wish the opening holes are slightly smaller so we wouldn’t be worried about pouring too much out every time. A little goes long way!

Son in laws favorite spice
My son in law loves this spice and puts it on almost everything he eats. His wife and kids don't feel the same so he can have it how he wants and they can have it less spicy. Have ordered many times from this company, always with good results.
