Issue 1: You may wonder if buying the complete kit (non-pro 6" model) if it comes with the A6 or premium S6 fan. Based on picture (which features the S6) and kit model name (which ends in "S6") one might think they were going to get the better fan. Not so, the kit comes with the A6. Is this my fault? Yes. I should have dug deeper before ordering. No star reduction for my error, but suggestive of a less than transparent company. Issue 2: I use the S6 model fan and rechargeable filter in my tiny house, as it is hermetically sealed. Regular purges twice a day maintain a safe o2 level and the carbon filter keeps the neighbors wood smoke, spring allergens and measurable airborne Al/other pollutants to a minimum. Upon installation, my very sensitive horn tweeters began buzzing loudly. I isolated the ground to my secondary rod, no change. I ran an extension cord from my neighbors garage (with permission), no change. Finally I realized it might be EM. My meter reads this thing as the noisiest piece of equipment I own. It is 8 feet from the HF amplifier. This is not a health issue (for me, I don't presume that others cannot be sensitive to it), but it may impede some species of plant growth if you're using this in a tent at close proximity to foliage. This is not an issue for my older offbrand PWM blower fan. It's not a problem for most PWM fans. It reflects extremely poor circuit design. The field strength is only slightly lower when the fan is off, which required me to put it on a cutoff switch. 3 stars because it is quieter than the competition, and this is its main selling point. Summary: Poorly designed where it counts, deceptive advertising. The features of the top model are nice, but the sensors are inaccurate. Better to run a cheaper blower fan with a diy noise reducing box (free designs are myriad online) and piece together sensors that work. Particularly with the valuable sorts of indoor garden this company is ostensibly geared toward. Would not recommend.
