If anything changes, I'll try to remember to update the review. I do like this because it cancels out the incessant tinnitus I deal with on a 24 hour basis. However, it doesn't seem like an item worth $30. If they charged $5.00 I'd still think they were making a nice profit. Having said that, I can't make a portable sound machine for myself, so until someone starts selling them for less, this is my only choice.You can change the pitch, from a lighter one that sounds like soft rain falling to a deeper one that sounds more like the ocean. I still haven't learned how long it holds a charge. I charge it for an hour or so and use it for a few hours. It's still working when I turn it off. The headphones have been fine. However, the clip is virtually useless. I've found it gave me a false sense of security. I just have to keep the unit in my pocket when I'm walking around. When I depend on the clip, the unit ends up giving into gravity. I have to just keep it in a pocket as if the clip doesn't exist.— — — —I came to love the Sound Oasis. The clip was only useful to keep the Sound Oasis in place while I slept and nothing more. Fully charged, the Sound Oasis stayed on right through the night and it helped me to sleep like a rock. I didn’t realize how much I must have been waking up in the night. But after using this I would wake up in nearly the same position I fell asleep in. Keeping the volume lower, I could hear what I needed to hear (taps at the door, etc) It was the constant white noise directly in my ear — without other noises interfering — that kept my brain in sleep mode. Trying to avoid EMF and other electronic device health hazards, I don’t use my cell phone or tablet to get white noise, even with head phones. I shut my electronic devices completely off at night. So I was glad to have the Sound Oasis. Unfortunately, it went completely dead after ONE year. No thanks. I don’t like the idea of adding to the landfills in our overburdened planet.Originally I said: I just don’t see why they couldn’t sell this for less than $30. It doesn’t seem like very complicated technology. But, if I find one now that is $30, I’ll still pay it because this thing has now become invaluable. There is no replacement for good, solid sleep and this has helped provide me with that.” But, of course, that is no longer true. I am sorry I bought this because now it will end up in the landfill. And I would never buy another one of these knowing the same fate awaits it. But if anyone ever makes a really good one of these that basically lasts a lifetime, I would buy it. Not only for me, but for friends as well.If you buy this, you are wasting your money. I gave this thing a year. And I didn’t even use it every day. It was mostly weekend use. So daily use it would likely last less than a year.

I have used sound generators for years to sleep because of my husband’s snoring. Previous models I owned had multiple sounds and other bells and whistles like travel alarms that I didn’t need. The only sound that ever worked well for this purpose is white noise, so finally I found something that does that well and ONLY that. It’s also tiny so it’s much better for travel, and it’s rechargeable.

I loved that the item was so small and could deliver a sound that cancelled outside noises--including the human voice. I also liked that there were so many levels/tones to choose from. The only thing i did not like was that the tone that was good for me also had extra sounds in the backgroun--noises that was like voices of people talking in the next room while the tones were being recorded/created. Because of this additional sound i cannot use the device. The main reason i need the item is to cancel sounds from neighbors tvs. This doesn't work when there are similar sounds coming from the device.

I love that it's small and blocks out all sounds like snoring. The only thing I didn't like was that it's not Bluetooth. I don't like that I have to wear the headphones plugged in to hear it. Bluetooth would have been great.

I use a wi-fi white noise machine which is fine unless we lose our wi-fi. I quickly ordered a charged white noise machine and was del the next day yeah good to go. There are multiple choices of sounds and I keep charged for backup and vacations when needed. Recommend highly

Volume was not adjustable

Terrible. The static is constant but the plugs have too much power and cause ear ache. Better using the app and using headphones with more choices for pleasing sounds
