Easy to install

This 45 + 7.5 µF capacitor is a direct replacement for the factory installed dual run cap in my Mr. Cool heat pump. The terminals are stamped with markings for the FAN, HERM (compressor) and COMMON connections. That's nice because in a couple of years it will likely be faded and rusty like my old one and hard to tell if not for the stamping. These capacitors are common failure items and are cheap and easy for home owners to replace,My heat pump compressor would not start once the temperature hit 100°F and I expected it was the cap. This fixed it up perfectly. I need a spare to have on the shelf so I don't have to wait a week for delivery. Local stores were sold out.

We ordered the 45 + 7.5 MFD uf 370 or 440 Volt VAC Round Dual Run Capacitor by BlueStars for future use. My adult son and I share our home. We have split heat pumps, one for downstairs and another for upstairs. His unit upstairs had stopped cooling well this summer and it has been a HOT summer!! He's pretty good with motors and was able to diagnose and correct the problem by himself!! We saw this capacitor and decided to order it and have it on hand in case either heat pump requires one at a future date. Having read the other reviews, we are confident that it will work well if/when we require it!! We hope we don't need it, but it is comforting to know that we have a part that may cause a problem. We most highly recommend this product!!

My AC has a dual run capacitor & the compressor wasn’t turning over - and of course this was on a Friday during the hottest weekend of the summer in Texas. I couldn’t find one locally so took a chance on this no name brand, which I’m always hesitant to do. However, this has not disappointed. Popped it in there & the compressor turned on right away, and has been working beautifully for a couple of months now. The diameter is a little smaller than the OEM, but I’d rather smaller than larger. Regardless, feeling pretty proud of myself to get my AC back up & running for under $10. Don’t waste your money on better known brands, this one works just fine!
