I just got this set yesterday and sat down to make a swatch of all the colors. I WAS AMAZED at how beautiful the colors were and the quality of the paint itself! Wow is all I’ve got to say 👍🏻

I love these. I usually do bright paintings and mix any darks I need but when I want moody I go to this set. Every color looks well with others in set They lift fairly well and respond to salt and Epson's salts beautifully. But for all these good points the best is that the pans are ready in seconds after you add water. I don’t have to wait 5 minutes for the paint in the pan to be usable. Add a few drops of water and a portion (equal to the water) of the pan liquifys within seconds. It’s juicy and ready to move to the mixing area of my palette or directly to the painting surface. It’s like from the tube fresh, vibrant, and rich. I emphasize rich. Lots of pigment ,right there ,right NOW !! LOVE THEM !!!!

These Graphite Colors are so much richer than the others I’ve purchased. Every single color is amazing; I love how it takes very little water to get deep tones. Will be buying again

These are pretty good paints, at a good price. Used the graphite colors an a few other Gansai colors and got decent results first try. The gansai paint isn't hugely different from other above average water colors from what I see so far, but less expensive, nicely packaged with the big movable pans, etc. and worked well. I ordered more colors, including the 48 color set and art nouveau sets, so I like them at least that much. And it is nice to able to just paint right off without unwrapping them from paper and having to do much color mixing -- very convenient. One who is starting out WC painting could do much worse than buying these, and so could one who is experienced but doesn't always need the much more expensive top quality professional grade. Pigment content is available at the Kuretake web site too. So yeah -- go for it.

I fell in love with the graphite and granulating paints immediately. They are so versatile and lend themselves to any colorway and genre. Exceptional quality, large pan size for large or small brushes (as do all Kuretaki paints) very affordable. I cannot find fault whether professional, hobby or student artist they will take pride of place in your gallery.

Fantastic, dry matt and can achieve texture by partially removing with tissue. I think these are one of the better paints by this brand. I'm going to try loads of wet on wet and bleeding colours together. The container is not as good as the other pallets, it has a clear plastic cover and the colours are on the outer side edge of base box. Not the easiest to put back or remove or as eco friendly as the the other cardboard boxes. Over all though, these are beautiful paints. The yellow is more moss green colou, found that a bit disappointing.

Schönes, gedecktes Farbset, das sich sicherlich anders verhält als westliche Aquarellfarben, mit denen ich nur bedingt Erfahrung habe, daher ist ein Vergleich an dieser Stelle nicht möglich. Die Farben lassen sich sehr gut mit Wasser auf einer extra Palette verdünnen, sodass man sich schön von hellen zu dunklen Farbtönen vorarbeiten kann. Die Mischbarkeit ist ebenfalls gegeben und völlig in Ordnung. Die Verteilung auf dem Papier ist angenehm und leichtgängig. Auch eine spätere Anlösbarkeit auf dem Papier ist gegeben. Den metallischen Effekt durch Polieren mit Silberbesteck o. ä. ist vorrangig bei starkpigmentierten, unverdünnten Farbbereichen und nur bei entsprechender Lichteinstrahlung sichtbar. Die Näpfchen sind relativ groß. Über den Füllstand und deren Haltbarkeit kann ich momentan noch keine Aussage tätigen. Bisher scheinen die Farben jedoch sehr ergiebig zu sein. Wie in anderen Rezensionen angesprochen, fehlt eine Abdeckung der Farben. Ich persönlich handhabe es so, dass die Palette nach dem Trocknen zurück in die Plastikverpackung geschoben und dort geschlossen aufbewahrt wird, sodass nichts verloren gehen kann. Preislich ist das Set für hochwertige Farben meiner Ansicht nach in Ordnung. Nicht zu vergessen ist auch, dass bei Importen aus anderen Ländern idR Einfurumsatzsteuer oder andere Zollgebühren anfallen, die unter Umständen bei entsprechend höheren Preise durch die Verkäufer abgedeckt werden, sodass das Kauferlebnis für die Kunden angenehmer wird. Insgesamt bin ich mit dem Erwerb der Farben sehr zufrieden und kann sie bisher uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
