Ahmed Vanilla Custard Powder - Halal (300gms)

I came across this by accident and found out this is on the same level as Birds Eye custard very good you can make as little or as much as you want

This is custard powder from the south Asian region (India/Pakistan) and the taste is quite different from regular store varieties available in US. We quite like it and our friends who have tasted it agree too and usually want to know where they can get it.

I’m sorry but this tastes and smells like old, musty carpet from some old houses attic. I have always wanted to bake with this product and was sorely disappointed. I made Nanaimo Bars and thank goodness because of all the other yummy ingredients the small amount used for this recipe did not affect it too badly . It was pricey too and I’m thinking of trying to get it returned. Please use instant vanilla pudding when your recipe calls for this product. (I wish I knew if it was just this brand or if all custard powder is like this?) I can’t imagine but you never know lol.

I liked the custard. Brought back some childhood memories. It was easy to make (despite instructions inside the package) and so tasty.... I will try the other flavors soon.

Good quality

This is cornflour with added stuff, tasted absolutely vile and the smell was rank.
