BiGDUG Garage Workbench Drawer Cabinet - Workshop Storage Workstation - 842H x 1709W x 600D mm - 5x Drawer & 2 Door Cupboard - Black/Grey

When I ordered this, I was a little concerned that the quality might have been poor, and some of the other reviews didn't do much to fill me with confidence, but being familiar with other Bigdug products at my workplace which all feel premium, I decided to go for it, and I'm glad I did. The unit ships flatpacked, even the metal that forms the drawers is flat and needs bending into shape, and I was quite worried I might have struggled to get a good finish on them, but I was surprised just how easy it was to assemble. You just need a 10 mm spanner/socket set and a PH3/PH4 screwdriver and your covered. I was able to fully assemble it without any help, though it would definately be easier with two people for a few parts (e.g. lifting the worktop on to the unit). Once assembled, it's very sturdy and the quality is excellent. There is a minor error in the assembly instructions that I had supplied with it, but nothing that would cause a problem, even for a novice. I bought the 2 m wide workbench with the 8 drawer configuration, and the drawers all glide open and closed really nicely on metal brackets with bearings. The worktop itself is really good, and is better than the worktops I have in my kitchen. There were no missing or damaged parts (there were actually a few spare washers and bolts). I definately recommend the workbench to anyone else looking for one. The only problem is, I've now got no excuse for not doing all the odd jobs around the house that I've been putting off.

Title says it all. Took me a good hour to assemble, but the instructions are clear and it is so worth the effort. I fitted a vice to mine as well…

This is a very good quality bench/drawer combo. It's sturdy and was fairly easy to assemble. Plenty of drawers and storage space. Would recommend.

Good quality and very easy to go together. I took my time to read the instructions several times over before starting to assemble it, it took me around an hour. The draw rollers are good quality and feel as though they will last. The worktop itself is very nice and reversible so you don’t have to have the BigDug logo on show, which is what I opted for. Biggest disappointment is the size of the cupboards. I got the two cupboard (5 drawers) version and unfortunately Bosch professional power tool cases do not fit! Neither do some DeWalt XR cases so would assume most others won’t either. The only way to get one or two in is to put them in diagonally and slide them down. You can only do this once or twice as you run out of height, also meaning if you want the one at the bottom you have to empty whatever smaller things you’ve put on top. It’s a shame because they are such a common tool/common size to be used in a garage, and as the doors are lockable I would expect this is what most people would use them for as you don’t really need to lock away tins of paint etc. The cupboards are too narrow by only 20mm which makes it more frustrating.

Absolutely outstanding units very well made sturdy and strong. Perfect for my garage and any workshop. I would love some walk mounted options in the same style but nothing yet l look forward to when they appear for sale

after the shock of this arriving in a flat pack box on a pallet, i got to work and it took me 3 evenings to get it together and it went well, the unit is very sturdy and solid. the worktop is perfect and a luxury in the garage. but be prepared to figure it all out, its in a hundred bits !!

This sturdy unit is in my office as I needed something heavy duty for all my engraving gear. Easy to put together, metal and wood throughout. The worksurface is hard wearing and the amount of storage is amazing. Great value for such a nice sturdy unit.
